Luc was crouching in the brush. Training his eye on the snow hare, he drew his bow and was about to fire when he heard the scream.

"Vy?" He said to himself as he ran back towards where he had left his sister. She was nowhere to be found. All that was left was her sword in the snow, the paw prints of wolves, and Sean the horse, dead.

Luc couldn't go after her... He knew that... His best chance was to get to Aslan's camp and they'd help rescue her.

He took off running east.

"Stop!" The voice demanded. But he didn't.

Then he felt himself being choked as someone pulled on the hood of his cloak.

He stared up, slightly terrified as he saw the man. Not a man. A centaur. He had long dark curly hair and a giant broad sword.

"Where are you going?"

"I, I I need to find Aslan," Luc replied.

"Why?"

"Maugrim. He took my sister. Because she helped a Narnian a few nights ago..."

"This boy is true to his word... We shall take him to Aslan." The centaur lifted Luc onto his back as others emerged from the trees.

"Hold on." He said to Luc as they took off running.
