Going back and forth from home and the studio was something risky, but definitely worth it. Lately, Y/n's been so productive as it seemed like her writer's block was finally over. She couldn't believe how many ideas she's been able to land as official songs in the past few weeks. Usually, the inspiration came at late hours of the night, which resulted in her waking up around four in the morning and staying up until sunrise creating melodies in the piano and putting lyrics over them.

In all this time she has been laying low she's been able to finish two songs, not her best record but Y/n already knew this album wasn't going to be like all the other ones. Besides, her mind has been on other different things lately. Including some beautiful British man who she's been texting back and forth for the past weeks a lot. Y/n found herself smiling every time her phone dinged with a new notification, knowing it belonged to Harry.

Guess who's gonna beat your ass on scrabble tonight.

A wide smile formed on her face. They've been playing for three days now after she suggested it and so far, Y/n has won every time and Harry would always say he'd beat her next time and between the two of us, he only says this because it'll guarantee another game between them.

She wrote a quick response before putting her phone away. She's currently miles away from Harry in Brooklyn having a studio session with some close friends, finishing a song.

"Y/n? Are you listening?" One of the men in the room spoke.

"Uh? Yeah, sure." She shoved her phone back in the pockets of her hoodie and readjusted her ponytail. "Where were we?"

Jack smiled knowingly and she rolled her eyes. "We said it'd sound better if we add some keys at the beginning." He then played it for her.

"That sounds terrifying." She laughed. "I love it. Play it again, let me record it so we won't forget."

They spent hours there and at the end of the day, the song was finally complete. Y/n and the team played it for hours, enjoying the final product as much as they enjoyed the process of it. The whole crew ate a massive pizza to celebrate and stayed more time to chat.

"I feel like this is the lead one, Y/n/n." Fred said.

"I know. I kind of know what direction I want to take for the visuals and stuff." She said before taking a sip of her wine.

"Are you flying back?"

"Yeah, on Friday. Then I'll be back here in... two weeks? I don't know yet."

"Any special reason why you're going back and forth a lot?"

"My family, duh. I also like how quiet my apartment there is, that way I can focus." She shrugged. Jack hummed, trying to not laugh. "What?"

"Nothing. Just... have you met someone?"

"Why are you asking?"

"You look... I don't know, happier." Now he shrugged. "It's been a while since you called me crying in the middle of the night." Under any other circumstances, she'd be uncomfortable talking about this, but these were her friends and she trusted them enough to not hesitate on calling any of them whenever she needed. "So does he have a name?"

"His name is Harry." She said, blushing.

"C'mon, what's his last name? Job? Social security number?" Jack leaned towards her, putting his chin on her shoulder while batting his lashes innocently. She snorted, pushing him away.

"Styles. He owns a flower shop back home." Y/n looked down at her food, preparing for all the teasing she'll receive from her friends.

"Aw, Y/n/n. Is he treating you right?"
