"Kumusta?" He asked.
It was like everything was in slo-mo. We slowly walk in the middle of the night. I can even hear the wind brushing on our skin. I can even hear my own heart beat.
"Uhm, good."
"So, you remember everything now?" He asked.
I can't with the fact that we are went to a toxic separation. Like a separation that isn't actually by our choice— but by fate.
"Ah, yeah. Clearly everything."
"Nice." He commented.
This conversation is going nowhere. We're avoiding the real conversation.
"I'll drive you home." Sabi niya.
"I don't think I can."
"I'm here to drive you home. You can." Sabi niya. He didn't get it. I can't face his brothers and his Father. I'm planning to move away. Work somewhere. And get lost. So, okay. I had to pack my stuffs.
"Okay." I whispered.
At dahil wala namang mapupuntahan ang paglalakad namin ay nakapag-decide kami na uuwi sa Conte's Residence.
Okay. Breathe, Vea. Breathe.
A long silence sa loob ng kotse.
Akala ko talaga hindi kami mag-uusap. Ayoko din na may pag-usapan kami pero gusto ko din malaman kung anong nangyari kay Eros. Saan siya nagpunta sa mga panahong may amnesia pa ako.
"Markus told me everything." He said. "He actually contacted me a lot kahit sa loob ng 2 years."
Napatingin ako sa kanya na nagmamaneho. Hindi siya tumitingin sa akin and it's okay.
"He did?" Sabi ko.
Eros smiled. I miss that smile.
"No. It's a bad joke. Sorry."
Sorry.
Why am I so sensitive?
I think I had enough of this bullshit.
"Uhm, Eros... let's stop pretending like everything is... fine. Like there's nothing that had happened to me, to you, and to everybody." I began. "They fooled me. I didn't know." I almost whispered.
Eros stopped the car. He isn't looking mad. It was as if he had practiced controlling his attitude and personality. He is managing himself so well.
I wonder how.
"Okay. Then, let's talk about it."
"What happened to you?" I immediately asked.
