Chapter 26 - The accident

Me and Rodri spent the night together and we were still together in the morning.

When I woke up he was still sleeping so instead of moving anywhere, but staying in his arms and thinking about what happened last night with Diego.

What the hell is this with this promise ring? Is he really serious about this? Does he really going to come to me soon? What?!

I don't know what to think anymore, but after a while I decided to keep that ring anyway...

Why?

Because even if I really don't want to believe him I do and I wish him to really do what he said he's going to do.

- Clarita... What's the matter? - I suddenly heard Rodri wishpering into my ear.

- I'm just sleepy... That's all - I replied to him and went to kiss him on the cheek - Anyway good morning!

- Good morning - he smiled - Shall we get up?

- I'd say no... But we have to get up... - I giggled as I was about to get out of the bed when he pulled me back and kissed me passionately on the lips.

- Okay... You can go now - he winked at me which made me giggle again.

- You crazy - I smiled as I went to get dressed and later on he left to get ready too and go to finish with the very last scenes for this season.

Unfortunately Diego didn't have to come as he didn't have any scenes which made me worried, but I couldn't do anything as he didn't even pick up his phone to me.

Hours later suddenly I got a phonecall that gave me the creeps and made me shiver.

- What is it?? - Carla asked as she saw me shivering alone.

- D-Diego... I-Is in the... H-Hospital... - I stuttered.

- What?! Why??

- He had... A-An car accident... L-Last night...

- Oh god! Wait... Should I take you there?!

- Yes! Please! - I said as I pulled her out right to her car because since I came with Rodrigo I didn't have my car here.

----- TIME SKIP -----

Arriving to the hospital I went straight to find my friend, Helen who called me because of Diego to get some information.

When we found her...

- He's sleeping now, but the doc said he's going to be fine. Just need to rest more than usual - Helen smiled - Don't worry...

- Can you take me to him?! - I asked, a bit too upsetly that even Helen got surprised, but he took both me and Carla to Diego's room - There you go - she said when we arrived to the door.

I took a deep breath then went in while Carla and Helen stayed outside.

I went to sit down next to the bed and took a hold of his hand while kept on just looking at him and he looked to helpless laying in the hospital bed. It just breaks my heart to see.

I don't know, if it was something else, or my it was my fault that this happened... Because the last time I've been arguing with him badly and ignoring him too. This might could take his mind off of the important things and maybe this is why this happened...

I can't explain how bad I'm feeling right now and the fact that I have to leave Buenos Aires in 4 days makes everything worse.

I've been sitting at Diego's hospital bed for 2 hours now and I had my head laying down on his chest, just listening to his heart beating when he suddenly started moving and I jumped up instantly and he slowly opened his eyes...

- C-Clari...? - he muttered.

Good. Atleast he doesn't have amnesia, or anything like that.

- Diego! - I gasped - Diego, how do you feel?

- Everything... Hurts... - he said then he paused before he continued - But seeing your beautiful face makes everything better...

At this point I started crying as I hugged onto him tightly.

- Hey, hey... - he smiled as he hugged me back - I didn't die...

- But when I heard you're here I really thought that... That you're gonna...

- But I didn't... - he whispered as he wiped away my tears - I'm here and not going to die anytime soon...

- That's good... - I smiled weakly at him then layed my head back down on his chest and we started talking an I was so happy that he's alive.
