IT'S WORTH IT.

IT'S MY FAVVVVV SONGGG

-Eva ;)

It was time to take the Order of the Guardians once and for all.

No!

Stop!

These thoughts weren't mine.

...right?

No.

I was part of the Order of the Guardians.

I have to fight for them.

Groaning, I pushed my head up.

"Ah! I see that you're awake! How do you feel?" Gisela asked, crouching in front of me.

The pieces clicked together.

They were trying to make us on their team.

Be on their side.

The evil side.

The Remember Refugees.

My best option right then was to play along with them.

"I feel fine," I replied, trying to sound as formal as I could.

"Good. Good. Now we just have to wait for your sister to get up. We are extremely sorry that the Order of the Guardians got to you and we were unable to protect you," Keefe's mother said as she walked across the room to where Sienna was.

I gasped a bit.

Gisela froze.

"Yes?" she questioned while turning around slowly.

"Oh. Nothing. I was just wondering if my sister is going to be okay? I hate the Order for this. They have taken it too far!"

That was sooo painful to say.

I wonder what Sophie and her friends are doing right now.

I should tell them to not look for us and that we are fine.

I just...couldn't.

Not right now.

There was telolathos all around us.

It's a type of rock.

Which can tell if you're using telepathy.

And they're also...

Very dangerous.

And rare.

I wondered where the Remember Refugees found all this telolathos.

But then I realized.

They didn't BUILD this hideout.

I could tell from the writing on the ground.

No.

This hideout was BEYOND ancient.

If only I could figure out the location...

All this telolathos could be useful for us.

Suddenly, I heard groaning.

"Ah. I have to run but your sister is awake. You can talk to her until I'm back," Gisela said before hurrying off.

I pushed myself up and practically ran over to the cot where Sienna rested.

Her bright, green eyes wandered around the room, taking in the new surroundings.

"Sienna! We have to get out of here! The Remember Refugees have captured us!" I said frantically.

"Huh? What are you talking about? We're on the Remember Refugees side. Did the Order brainwash you or something? Should I get Gisela?" she said, pushing herself up.

My eyes went wide.

"What?"

My voice came out as barely a whisper.

Her face twisted into a confused expression.

"Emma? What's wrong with you? Why are you acting like this today? Are you sick?" she asked.

"No," I answered, dropping to the floor.

"No, no, no, no, no--"

They couldn't have taken Sienna.

My sister.

My twin.

My best friend.

My OTHER HALF.

They couldn't.

They just couldn't.

This was probably a prank!

Sienna's way too strong for this.

And that's what I repeated in my head over and over again until Gisela came back.

And this time,

she brought a friend.
