Chapter 92: Sienna's POV

Gethen entered the room with Gisela in front of him.

"Hello Gethen" I said, greeting my friend.

Or should I say, who I thought was my friend.

The truth was, deep down, I knew the truth.

I knew that we weren't part of the Remember Refugees.

I knew that these people had tried to brainwash me and my sister.

I knew that it hadn't worked.

And...

I knew that these people were evil.

Definitely.

I figured it all out when I first saw Emma's panic-stricken face after I told her what I thought was the truth.

As soon as my eyes met hers, filled with hurt and panic, something in my head clicked. 

Emma stood up and dusted off her clothes. 

A fake smile on her face.

"Hello Gethen!", she said, fake cheer in her voice.

That's when it hit me.

The realization. 

Audrey.

Bridget.

What happened to them????

Gethen's sharp voice brought me out of my thoughts.

We would have to worry about that later.

"Hey, you guys okay? That was some nasty stuff the Order did to you guys back there."

My blood boiled.

How dare he?

Lie straight to our faces and pretend like nothing happened?

I know the only reason they want us to work with them is because we're unique, unlike anything this cruel world has ever seen before.

I hoped my anger was showing on my face.

Emma smiled stiffly and said, "Yeah, we're fine! Thanks for helping us!" 

I know it hurt her to say that.

It hurt me to even hear it. 

The Remember Refugees?

Helping us?

I scoffed in my head.

I quickly recollected myself though and mimicked Emma's fake coolness.

I gave a stiff smile and said, "Although my head does hurt quite a bit"

That's when it all went dark.
