Tylor kept opening and shutting the door, but it wouldn't come back up.
(A/N I almost typed "sh*tting". XD)
"What did you do to the door?" Val asked.
"Nothing. I closed it," Tylor answered.
"You were the last one to touch it," she pointed out.
"So? This isn't my fault," he said.
"Explain why this door deactivated for no reason," Val remarked.
"You keep distracting me with 'This reminds me of this time'. 'You remember that time we and this time...'" Tylor said, mimicking her.
"This reminds of that time..." she started.
"See? How many times do I have to tell you, I don't remember. Why is it so important to you?" Tylor demanded.
Val sighed softly and explained, "Because...Because...When I first got to MU...no one noticed me. And then...one day, in class, you spoke to me."
Val sniffled a bit as Tylor felt bad about what he said. Jamie hugged herself as she looked away, knowing how Val felt.
"You said, 'Excuse me. Is this seat taken?'" Val continued.
By that time, Cutter came back to see the door wasn't up anymore.
"Huh. Door's deactivated. Uh, that can't be good," Cutter commented.
She reactivated and opened it.
"You guys know the door got turned off?" she asked.
Duncan gasped and said before getting out, "A rescue party! Out of the way, sub-ordinates. Oh, I just need to breathe some stale air."
Duncan breathed the air in before they left.
