"Darling?" I perk my head up to see Loki standing a meter or so away from me with a sadden expression. I quickly wipe the tears from my face a sniff a little trying to hide my emotions.
"Yes? Sorry I was just getting some fresh air" I stand up and clear my throat.
"Darling I... I'm so sorry those woman and men said such cruel things. I shouldn't have left you alone, the others could have waited" Loki stride towards me and took my hands in his. I stare down at the lush green grass; Loki used his finger to point my chin up towards him.
"Loki I'm fine and it's not your fault. I shouldn't have let it affect me anyway" I gaze turn my head away.
"You don't always have to be so strong, Lilith." Loki cupped my face in his cold palm. "Would you like to go for a walk?" I nod my head. Loki links arms with me and we begin to walk through the magical garden which was covered with wild and exotic plants of all shapes and colours.
As we walked in the moonlight and talked about small things likes book and plants quietly, I felt a shiver go down my spine as the wind rushed past.
"Cold?"
"A little" I shrug. Loki waves his hand and dark green blanket was draped over my shoulders. The soft fabric creating warmth.
"Thank you, your highness, very cosy indeed" Loki lets out a small laugh but grows quiet as he looks over me. I give him a lopsided awkward smile as he looks down at me with a soft gaze.
"Lilith about the thing I was going to tell you earlier..." he started.
"Yes Loki?"
"Lilith..." Loki stood in front of me and held my hands in his firmly. "I... I have wanted to tell you this for so long, ever since I slipped that ring onto your finger. I like you, more than just a friend. Whenever I see you or are near you, I feel my heart flutter and my breath hitch at the sight of your beauty. You make me laugh, smile, and feel something other than loneliness. You have made my life better just by existing, I care for you, and I want nothing else in this world except for your happiness and for you to be mine" Loki rambled on with a nervous look on his face.
I stare at him in disbelief at the words that spilt from his lips.
"Loki I..." I begin. "Do you really mean all of that?"
"Of course, with all my being darling" Loki pulled me closer and cupped my face.
"You don't know how long I've wanted this" I breath out still struck with disbelief that this was happening.
"Lilith, I love you" Loki leaned in closer with a broad and grateful smile.
"I love you too" I whisper closing the gap between us and putting my lips on his. I kiss his soft lips gently closing my eyes. Loki's lips move along mine passionately as his hand holds the side of my face and his other my waist. I pull back to gaze into his beautiful emerald eyes.
"Be mine Lilith, be my love and I promise you won't regret it. I love you; would you do the honour of courting me?"
"Of course I will, I'm yours Loki" I giggle stroking the side of his face with my hand.
-Third Peron's Point of View-
"That's fucking adorable" Wanda choked out wiping a happy tear from her cheek.
"Language Maximoff" Steve replied trying to hold back his sobs.
"Called it" Peter said collecting his cash from Clint.
"I thought for sure they'd kiss while they were dancing" Clint grumbled. "Either way I'm happy for them."
"So am I" Frigga said smiling along with the warriors three and Sif, startling the Avengers.
They had all sneaked away from the ball to follow the two love birds to the garden. They saw the way they looked at each other, how they swooned and how their knees grew weak at the other's smile. They watched it all unfold and the kiss they shared. It was beautiful and heart warming to see their friends so happy and for Frigga to see his son feel love again after so long.
"We're totally teasing them in the morning" Bucky whispered to Tony and Sam who nodded with smirks on their faces.
