"Bye baby," I said and kissed her. She was going on a girl's trip and I was at home with Natalie and Adeline. Adeline was 7 now and Natalie was 4 months old.

I made my way to my second daughter's room and I found Adeline talking to her. Natalie was fussing and Adeline was trying her best to calm her down. I put my hand on Adeline's back and she smiled at me and looked back at Nat.

I picked Natalie up and sat down on the rocking chair and Adeline got on my lap. I let her hold her sister and she was all smiles. I felt happiness creeping across my cheeks and Adeline calmed Natalie down.

"Daddy?" Adeline said and I mumbled a 'yes'. "When's mommy coming home?" She asked and I took a second to think, "Probably on Sunday." I said and she sighed.

"Why are you sighing?" I chuckled and she smiled at me, "I'll just miss her that's all." She said and I looked at Natalie who was smiling at me. "We're gonna have fun I promise." I said and she nodded.

"Daddy," Adeline said, running down the hallway to me, who was feeding Natalie.

"Yes?" I said and she got on the stool and watched me feed her sister. "We got a new teacher last week, she asked me if I knew Dallas." She said and I furrowed my eyebrows at her.

"Did you tell her that he's your daddy?" I asked and she nodded. "She told me to tell you that she wants to talk to you. Daddy do you know her?" She asked me. "What's her name?" I asked and she jumped down.

"Miss Sylvia." She said and walked to me and hugged me. "She's mean I don't like her." She said and I felt my blood boiling. "Honey, can you finish feeding your sister? I have to call mama. Maybe you can talk to her." I said and she nodded.

I called her and she picked up after a few rings. "Hey," She said and I paced my bedroom. "Did you know that Sylvia is Addy's teacher?" I cut to the chase. She hesitated, "No, I knew there was a new student teacher but I didn't know it'd be her," She said and I clenched my jaw.

"She told Addy to tell me she wants to talk to me." I heard her sigh on the other end. "You have a parent teacher conference tomorrow, remember?" She said.

"I know." I tapped my foot and Addy opened the door. "Daddy? Can I talk to mommy?" She asked and I nodded. I handed the phone to her and she got super excited, "Hi mommy!" She said and ran away. I walked into my bathroom and grabbed Advil and took two.

I walked out and I cleaned up Natalie and laid down on the couch. Addy came back with my phone and said "Mommy wants to talk to you." And I sat up and burped Natalie.

"Let me know if she tries anything on you." She said and I sighed, "I'm bringing both the girls with me, doubt she would." Natalie finally came up and I cleaned up and laid back down and she fell asleep on my chest quickly. "It's Sylvia. She's a snake. There's no doubt she will be flirting with you the entire time."

"You're right." I said, "Damn right I'm right," She responded and we both started to laugh. "Call me if they're any trouble." She finally said. "I love you so much." I said and smiled. "I love you too." She hung up and I put my phone on the side table and changed the TV channel.

We watched The Breakfast Club until Adeline and I fell asleep.

My alarm went off and I woke up with a headache. Natalie was still somehow sound asleep on me. I carefully sat up and brought her to her bedroom and woke her up and changed her. I'm not good at picking out clothes, y/n left them out for me.

Once she was all ready, I woke Addy up and she went to her room and got dressed. I made toast for both of us and gave Natalie a bottle for the car and I went to the school.

I met with Sylvia in the classroom and she was all grins. "Hi Addy," She said and Adeline waved at her and smiled. I had Natalie in her car seat next to my chair and I let her play with my hands while I rocked it. She looked at Nat and smiled. "What's the baby's name?"

"Natalie Grace." Addy said excited. I gave Sylvia a sarcastic smile. "Dallas. Still as handsome as ever." She said, admiring my longer hair. "So we gonna talk about my daughter or me, Sylvia?" I spat and she sat back.

"Addy has been really good in school." She said and I smiled at my daughter and she grabbed my hand. My other daughter was now sucking on my finger but I didn't really care. "But, she hasn't been putting forth her best work."

"Addy?" I looked at her and she shrugged. "I don't really care about school. I just want to help you and mommy with Natalie." She said and I sighed.

"We can put her in extra help classes, if you like." Sylvia spoke up. I looked back at her and we made eye contact. She grinned and I broke the contact. I knew what she was doing. "I don't think that would be very necessary, I just think that you my dear, need to work harder in here and worry less about us." I said and Sylvia rolled her eyes and sat back.

"Do we have problem?" I asked her and she put her hands together. "Look what you've become, Dallas. A dad. You could still be living your life on the streets with us, not worrying about these, rug rats." She said, and I clenched my jaw and stood up. I grabbed the handle for Natalie's car seat and Addy's hand and left without saying anything. When we got into the car, Addy started to cry a little bit.

"Honey, why are you crying?" I asked and she shook her head. "Miss Sylvia is mean. Was she saying you don't love us?" She asked and I looked at her with shock. "Baby, no. Jesus, Miss Sylvia was an old friend of mine. Whatever she has to say, don't pay attention to, unless it has to do with school. Okay? I love you guys so much."

"Okay." She said and I smiled and drove home. I immediately told y/n what had happened and she was fuming. The next week, she went to the school and reported Sylvia. Apparently she had been saying things like this to multiple parents, and they fired her immediately.
