Seokjin didn't repulse or reply. His head felt heavy as if drowned. He didn't even sure what he was feeling about Taehyung but still, he allowed things to come to this far.

Taehyung let go of Seokjin, caressed his lightly swollen lips with his fingers. "It tastes sweet," he smiled, "I might be into egg tarts in the future."

Seokjin felt a bit tired, he evasively turned away to hug the dog and sunk into the couch.

Taehyung said nothing, but grabbed his phone, meaning to ask why the flowers he ordered haven't arrived yet. But the moment he picked his phone up, a call came in.

It was the haunting Jungkook. Taehyung was so annoyed that he even wanted to smash the phone onto the ground.

"I need to go out for this phone call, you rest here for a while." Taehyung pointed at his phone and said to the younger.

It kept ringing and the call hung up automatically when Taehyung got upstairs but it rang again less than ten seconds later.

"What do you want?" He asked in a cold tone.

Jungkook sounded calm but furtively happy. "The bone marrow donor has agreed to donate again but he just needs another week."

Taehyung sneered but his tone reminded the same, as chilling as ice. "That's good... well President Jeon, could you please call me when everything's ready? There's another week, right?"

Voices came from the other side of the phone after a long pause. "I see..." He said in the helpless and forbearing way as if he was resigned, "I just want to talk to him."

"You can keep wanting." He mocked.

Jungkook didn't get upset, but asked somehow imploringly, "Has he been doing fine lately?"

"How can he not? No one is torturing him here, no one is breaking his heart here. He wouldn't end up like this if he lived this life earlier."

Jungkook said nothing. he didn't try to refute. He could stand this mild mockery in exchange for any bit of information on his Seokjin.

"Today is his birthday... Please keep his company for me, I was there for him on every of his birthday. He would feel upset if no one's there for him."

Jungkook provoked Taehyung very easily, he turned his anger into laughter. "How considerate of you, President Jeon. What a sophisticated lover you are! But sorry, he has accepted my birthday gift and we will have a cake before noon."

But he couldn't hold his anger down much longer. He had put up with Jungkook for very long. He considered Jungkook is the cheekiest man he had ever seen. He didn't cherish the younger when he owned him and threw his true love into the trash can. And here he claimed he was the most faithful man on earth when he lost Seokjin, he was probably thinking to himself, why can't they go back to what they were after admitting his mistakes, after being willing to make amends? What a prick.

"If you have nothing important to say, I'm gonna hang up. I'll need to look after him during his afternoon sleep and massage his waist. He was tired out of last night." Taehyung didn't intend to provoke Jungkook with this. It was quite vulgar, even he himself despised what he said. But he never failed to bring out the worst of him.

Jungkook suddenly raised up his voice and it was trembling in disbelief. "Did-did you touch him?!"

"We've been together for a long time. It wasn't the first time last night anyway. It was a normal thing, wasn't it?" Taehyung sounded calm and smiley. "Do you need me to wish him a happy birthday for you? If you don't, I'll hang up now."

Jungkook was stunned, the phone slipped off his hand and banged on the floor. He paralyzed into the couch without knowing what he was thinking or doing. He put everything on the tea table in order almost manically but in the end, he couldn't help bursting into tears with hands covering his face. He mumbled, "Please... Please don't... Don't touch my Seokjin..."

Jungkook was about to have a mental breakdown, he couldn't dare to think, he couldn't stand anyone touching Seokjin. He was extremely possessive, he couldn't allow anyone to touch what was his. Back in the days when he took the younger to a business meal, he would break someone's arm if they tried to get him drunk and flirt with him. He would get upset if the younger came home a bit later than usual. He would go crazy if the younger got a bit close with someone else. But now, a man just told him that he had entirely owned his precious, he kept him, fondled and hugged him for more than once.

"It can't be true... He lied to me..." He reached to pills and tried to comfort his heart with gibberish. "Seokjin wouldn't allow anyone to touch him.

"It's okay... When he gets better, I'll bring him back... I will treat him well." Jungkook curled himself up, his whole body quivering. He sounded muffled as if he was talking to his inner self. "Even if it's real... I don't care, I don't care..."

As long as Seokjin was happy, he didn’t care.

Jungkook was supposed to be cheered up today as Sungwoon's operation was a success. Not until everything was settled, till Lee Eunjoon call him, he said that person had taken that 1 million, he was ready for the second donation one more week later. He was thinking at the moment that today was Seokjin's birthday, this uplifting message indicated good omens. But unexpectedly, extreme joy begot sorrow.

The younger was dozing when Taehyung got downstairs with one hand on the Brown Retriever. It was a beautiful hand, it had long and slender fingers and the glow on his third finger bewildered Taehyung's heart.

He walked up to him slowly with a heavy mind. He didn't feel a thing when he heard the words bone marrow again after two months.

The late love and compensation was less than weeds.

Taehyung grabbed up his hand on the dog and smiled at him. "Don't pet the dog anymore. Wash your hands, it's lunchtime."
