Dick drove into the nearest dealership. Gar, Kory and Rachel stayed outside as Dick and I went in.

"Good morning" I smiled at the car salesman.

"What can I do for ya miss?" He asked blushing.

"My fiancé and I here would like to trade in our Porsche right there" I said pointing to the beige car. "For something a little bigger, for our family."

"That's a nice lookin car" he said.

"Anything that's big enough to seat five" Dick said. "We're in a bit of a hurry."

The paperwork went by fast, soon we were handed the keys. I looked at Dick as he stared at the Porsche.

"I know you loved that car" I said as we walked outside.

"Whatever" he said.

"New ride" I smiled walking towards the others.

Hours later Dick pulled into a motel.

"I still can't believe you traded the Porsche for a mini van" Gar said.

"At least we can all fit" Dick said.

"I like the van" Kory said.

I smiled looking around outside.

"We're not actually staying here, are we?" Rachel asked.

"There's probably a nicer place down the road" I said looking at Dick.

"We're being hunted my sociopaths. Nicer places draw attention" he said.

I watched Dick walk into the front office.

"You two had something didn't you?" Kory asked.

"Is it that easy to tell?" I asked.

"Anybody could tell by the way he looks at you" she said.

I sighed remembering the last time I had saw him. At the time we weren't together though it was right after Garth had died. It was hard to sleep in a bed without him, he was never one to talk about his feelings. When Garth had died I pushed everyone away, including Donna away.

"It's complicated" I said.

"For who?" She asked.

Dick came back to the car with five rooms keys. I patted down my suit before walking after him inside.

"Listen we're all in one piece, more or less. We need to figure out where we stand and determine what's mission critical" Dick said.

"Mission critical?" Rachel asked smiling.

"Is that a cop thing? Sounds like a cop thing" Gar said.

"I had some combat training when I was younger" he said.

"I'm sorry you were referring to we?" Kory asked.

"'We' as of right now are a group of people who share a common enemy" Dick said.

"Which makes us what?" She asked.

"Let's call it an alliance" he said. "One born of mutual need."

"Which is?" She asked.

"To stay alive. The people who attacked us fought in unison. We can't do that until we know each other's moves" he said.

Dick drove to an abandoned farm house. I glanced at him before looking around.

"We gotta see what each other can do. Any volunteers?" He asked.

"Might as well go first" I said.
