Link's POV

A few days later when Sky's concussion was long gone (We waited a few days in case it came back.) our little group-minus Daruk-along with several Hyrulian guards started among our way south, to Zora's Domain.

Zelda thought that the Zora Princess, Princess Mipha, who was known for her kindness and her healing my ability, would be the perfect candidate for Divine Beast Vah Ruta's pilot.

After a few days of traveling we crossed over into Zora's Domain. It had been a long time since I last visited, but nothing had changed.

Sky didn't even notice the spires or giant fish sculpture. Instead his eyes were glazed over yet alert. He held his sword (who I now know as Fi) close to him.

We made our way to the throne room. And by 'we' I meant Zelda, Impa, and Sky. I was told to stay on the look out for Sky's companions.

I didn't care.

I went to look for my childhood friend (and maybe crush); Princess Mipha.

Zelda's POV

I stood in front of Dorephan; King of the Zora.

I could tell he had lived for centuries due to his immense size. A few of his advisors stood off to the side with Impa and Sky. (He looks a lot like Link now that I think about it.)

There was a thoughtful and tense silence as the King took in my request.

"Mipha pilot the Divine Beast?" He asked softly.

"Yes." I simply said. "My father, King Rhoam, has faith that she will do her upmost...with your permission, of course."

On the journey here, Link had informed me of how protective Dorephan was toward his children.

"Hmm.." The King mused. "This will be a dangerous mission, piloting the Divine Beast against the darkness. And I understand that the hero who will seal that darkness has not yet appeared."

"N-not exactly." I said. Link was the hero but as Sky told me, I couldn't tell anyone until we at least have our version of the Master Sword.

"I must refuse." Dorephan said. "I cannot send my daughter into such peril."

I sighed. "But-" I tried to protest but was interrupted by a guard running in.

"Your majesty." He cried. "I bring news."

Link's POV

I followed Mipha along the bridge. Egg Guardian followed me.

Mipha turned around to face me. She wore a gentle smile that made my heart flutter.

"Well, Link. You've grown since I last saw you." She said.

I nodded sheepishly.

"And yet...you have not changed." She said softly. The Princess knelt as the robot scuttled out from behind my legs. "This creature is a...guardian?" She asked.

I nodded again.

The Egg Gaurdian whistled. "How cute!" She giggled.

"Princess Mipha!" A Zora guard shouted. "Monsters on Ploymus Mountain! Marching this way!"

"What of my father?" Mipha said, slipping into her 'Princess mask'.

"His majesty is leading the army to intersect." The soldier reported. He shifted uncomfortably. "He...thought the prince was here with you..."

That clearly unsettled Mipha. I was worried too.

"Sidon is missing?" Mipha cried out.

Terrako seemed to sense Mipha's distress and whistled up to her. As my old friend look down at it the Egg Gaurdian jumped and did a little spin mid-air.

I walked up to her as well. When Mipha looked at me, I nodded, showing where my loyalties lie.

She nodded back at me before turning to face the soldier again.

"We will find Sidon." She declared. "You must watch over the domain."

"Highness." The Zora nodded before running back to where he came from.

Mipha looked over at me as we got ready for the long battle ahead of us.

Mipha and I cut our way through the monsters. Blood dripped from my head and into my eyes, making it difficult for me to see. (Curse lizolfos'. Is that a Moblin or Zora? Oof. Definitely Moblin.)

I accepted the delicate yet calloused hand and stood back up.

"T-thank you." I stammered to Mipha. If I didn't know better, I would say she blushed as well.

But I do.

We soon continued making our way toward Polymus Mountain. The plummeting rain made the terrain slippery. (I'm ashamed to admit that I slipped on grass. Many times.)

But eventually we reached our destination. And what we saw made my blood freeze.

There was Sidon all right. But standing in between us and him...

Was a red-maned Lynel.
