Impa's POV

Our next expedition was to be to Faron Woods, more specifically, the Spring of Courage.

In another attempt to unlock the Princess's powers.

The King had asked for one last meeting before we leave. So here we were, Zelda standing before her father, Link, the robot, and I backing her up.

"Are you certain of this?" The King asked solemnly.

I gave a single nod. "Yes. Zelda's next birthday... will mark the date of Calamity Ganon's return. That is what Wild told us."

"What do we know of this... Wild?" The King asked.

"Wild is a future hero and the others seem to trust him with their lives." Zelda said.

"But his tale is an unfamiliar one? And didn't you tell me he looks too much like Link for it it be a coincidence?" The King said.

"He must just be a descendant. It's not that unheard of, a hero to be a child of another." Zelda explained.

I felt Link shiver slightly beside me and I had to suppress a slight smile at his reaction.

"But, back to the issue at hand, my seventeenth birthday is only a week or so away." Zelda said quietly.

"So... time has run out, then." The King said. "Zelda. You and the heroes and knights will travel to the Spring of Courage."

He said, confirming our mission. "No matter what it takes, you bust awaken your power before the Calamity returns."

I couldn't help but feel resentment toward the King and the weight of the world on my charge's shoulders.

"Yes," Zelda said with cleverly hidden calm. "I know father."

She bowed her head and turned swiftly on her heel, Link, the robot, and I followed closely.

She dispatched us but the guardian didn't leave her side as I left for the training grounds.
