It was three in the morning and Virgil had just woken up from a nightmare and was crying and close to a panic attack, Roman had also woken up after hearing a bang in Virgils room (they're rooms are next to each other because plot convenience-) Virgil had dropped something (I dunno what he dropped but for this to work he needs to drop something to make the bang- be quiet and continue reading- or don't this is already bad-) Roman went over to Virgil's room to check on him, he didn't bother knocking since he was worried
R- vee? It's three in the morning, are you ok? I heard a bang..
V- I-I'm okay, sorry if I woke you up..
R- don't be sorry it's fine, are you crying..? What happened?
V- N-No I'm not, I'm fine, go back to sleep..
Roman went over and sat on the edge of the bed, Virgil just turned away from him so Roman wouldn't see the tears running down his face but Roman pulled Virgil onto his lap and wiped his tears
R- what happened Virgil..?
V- N-Nothing..
R- something definitely happened, you don't cry over nothing, no matter how small it was, something happened, so what's wrong
V- I had a nightmare.. it was stupid to cry over it.. and I'm sorry for waking you I must have dropped my phone off my bed..
R- it's fine Virge don't apologize for waking me up, and it's not stupid to cry over a nightmare it's perfectly normal
V- Thank you Ro..
R- your welcome Vee
Virgil cuddled up to Roman for a few minutes to calm down until he pulled away a little bit and looked up at Roman
V- Why are you helping me?
R- why wouldn't I help you?
V- I mean you've made it pretty obvious you don't like me all that much..
R- stormcloud, do you remember when I was making fun of frozen and said "this is how I show my love"?
Virgil nods
R- and you obviously remember how I treat you
V- yea? What does this have to do with my question?
R- sigh I love you. Does that answer your question?
Virgil blushes and hides his face in the crook of Romans neck and slightly nods
V- y-yea it does
R- sorry if that was to soon to say or if it just made this akward..
V- no no! It's fine! I just didn't expect you to say that so it surprised me
Roman smiled and ran his hand through Virgils hair
~time skip to a few minutes later~
R- so uhm.. do you feel the same?
Vee sits up and looks at Roman before leaning up and kissing him, Roman is surprised but kisses back
Virgil pulls away and just blushes and cuddles up to Roman again
R- so I'm guessing that's a yes?
Virgil just nods
Roman presses a kiss to Virgil's forehead and runs his hand through Virgils hair, Virgil slowly fell asleep cuddling up to Roman, soon after Virgil fell asleep Roman did to
~The Next Morning~
Roman woke up before Virgil and was just playing with Virgil's hair
Patton came in to wake Virgil up for breakfast
P- kiddo time to get up!
Roman pov(/thoughts)- oh shit pats going to see me with Vee-
P- aww Roman your cuddling with Virgil! Did you finally tell him you like him?~
R- one, yes, two, Did you know?!
P- I'm your dad, of course I know, I know who my kiddos like
Virgil woke up
V- oh hi Pat
P- hi kiddo, I'm geussing Roman finally confessed~
Virgil blushed and nodded
P- well anyway breakfast is ready kiddos come down when your ready
V- alright pop-star yawn
Patton left to go wake up everyone else and Roman and Virgil stayed cuddled up for a few minutes before both getting up and going downstairs for breakfast, they both got food and sat on the couch with Virgil cuddling up to Roman and eating and Remus (yes he's here because I love our rat boy) was teasing them both the entire morning, Virgil flipping him off, Patton telling him not to do that and then Roman just ignoring him with the occasional '🖕🏻' towards him when Patton wasn't looking, Logan and Janus just being sick of them all, and Virgil eventually falling asleep after breakfast, which caused Remus to tease them more, but all in all, it was a good morning
