Chapter 58 Coming out

Really really sorry for not updating for long. Won't bore you with why I couldn't. So a long chapter ahead taking the story ahead.

Niyati's POV

Waking up this time was a lot easy. I didn't have to fight to open my eyes. My body still felt heavy but I wasn't in any pain, except for my right hand which had a tube attached to it making it uncomfortable to move easily.

The lights were dim. Is it night? Must be. I have lost all sense of time.

I tilted my head to find two couples dozing off on the sofa in the sitting position. The sofa was meant for three. They were definitely cramped. I felt guilty. Because of me they were also suffering.

In the corner was a small stool which was occupied by….. Abhijay? He was also napping, resting his head behind on the wall. Now I am confused. What is he still doing here? Yes, he was the one who found me. If it wasn't for him I would have still been in that washroom. I can understand he must have informed others and helped me, but staying at the hospital? Till now he hardly ever acknowledged me as a colleague. What changed suddenly? How come Shaurya allowed him to stay?

Shaurya!!

Where is he? Did he leave?

I was still observing everyone when the door opened. In walked Shaurya, still wearing a formal shirt, crumbled and for the first time not tucked inside. First two buttons undone, hair messy. He looked tired.

A big smile covered his face the moment he saw me. It's been so long I saw him smile and look at me like this. It felt so good I couldn't stop smiling either.

" You are awake!"

Shaurya whispered while scanning the room to observe everyone sleeping.

He came and laid down beside me on the bed.

Oh God!!

What is he doing? Everyone is here.

My eyes must have expanded to the size of saucers.

" Feeling shy are we? Well I have been sleeping here for two days now."

Huh??

" W.. what? He... here? But…..but"

" Ya here! Holding you in my arms."

He must be lying.

" I am not lying."

Can he read my mind?

" No, I can't read your mind but can definitely feel your heart."

Is this Shaurya? Why is talking like that? And why is he smirking? Is he making fun of me?

I tried to turn the other way but Shaurya immediately kept his hand on my cheek stopping my moment.

" Don't ever scare me like that."

He whispered while kissing me softly on my cheek.

Where do I hide?

When did Shaurya get so bold to kiss in front of everyone. I know everyone is sleeping, but still, they are in the same room.

I was still trying to contemplate how to react when I heard a click.

How can I forget the devil? Yogi was clicking pictures while I was trying to hide myself as much as I could. The only place to hide unfortunately was into Shaurya's shoulder. I was so mortified that I couldn't open my eyes but I heard Shaurya laughing. Soon I heard a lot of "awe" and " so cute" and what not.
