Shaurya's POV ( continued)

I was ready to unleash my anger on her but one look at her and the only thing I could come up with was

" What am I, your secretary to look after your sister?"

That was all I said when I actually wanted to turn the table upside down, throw all the things I could lay my hands on, on her face and curse her with every dirty word that I knew. But I gripped the table instead to control my anger, and thank God I did. I hadn't anticipated what she said next.

" Ashu was kidnapped in the morning. Your men always keep an eye on me. I was at home only. So maybe they must have seen something. Please.. please let me know if you know anything. I have no idea where they have taken her or what they may be doing to her. I am begging, please tell me if you know anything."

She was crying like anything while saying it. It was hard to see her like this. Yes I kept getting videos of how she cried every time I made her suffer. But now, she was in front of me shaking like anything while crying. Plus someone else was making her cry. Who had the daring to do that?

Should I go ahead and hold her? What if she feels disgusted by my touch and reacts the way she did before. No. Let her calm down on her own.

So I let her calm down. I waited till she composed herself. It gave me more time to look at her without her knowing. Also I needed some time to analyse the information she had bombarded me with.

How did this happen? My men watch her all the time. Were they not aware of it? They would have definitely reported to me about such an important development.

Also they had specific instructions that no one was to harm Niyati. That was exclusively for me now. The only pain she should feel is the one inflicted by me.

How come kidnappers entered her house? Didn't my men do anything? What if they could have kidnapped her? Or harmed her while kidnapping her sister?

I needed answers but I needed them from her first. I knew if I asked her directly she would never answer them. Also I didn't want to sound desperate by asking directly. So I made up my mind as to how I was going to ask for it.

After Niyati composed herself and was in a position to talk again I laid down the trap which I knew she would be walking into without any second thought.

" One night with me."

I knew she was in no position to deny.

Either she would break down now and tell the truth or I will extract it out of her when she comes to fulfill her promise. Enough of running around the bushes. It was time to face the reality head on.

She paled when I reminded her the words she dreaded the most. But my Niyati would do anything for her sister. And for that she agreed.

Ya she actually agreed to spend the night with me.

I would have liked it more if all was cleared today itself but then it would have to wait. Plus she is already broken. Some other night it is then.

While Niyati stood like a colourless statue I made a call.

" Why the hell am I not being reported?"

I was furious. I pay them handsomely to keep a watch on her. How could this have slipped from them? They were supposed to be best in the field.

As they started reporting I got irritated. They were telling me everything I already knew. She was standing right in front of me. Idiots!!

" What about the sister? How come none of you saw her being kidnapped? Where the hell were you?"

What I heard was something I hadn't expected. I had to make a few more calls to get the exact full fledged story.

I couldn't help but laugh at the situation. Niyati is surrounded by a bunch of idiots. That includes her too.

As I ended the call I couldn't help but laugh more.

Niyati was watching me with annoyed expressions.

" Why are you laughing? Ashu is in danger and you are laughing?"

Niyati spat out in anger, her face turning red because of controlling it.

I had never seen her angry. I must say it suited her more than me. She was looking sexy as hell.

Okay she is genuinely worried for her sister. I shouldn't prolong it anymore. I don't want her fainting in front of me. She hasn't eaten anything since her last breakfast which was yesterday.

" Your sister is fine. There's no kidnapping."

I finally told her only to be met by her confused face.

" What do you mean by there's no kidnapping? I spoke to her. She told me herself. Why would she lie?"

I couldn't make out if Niyati was angry or confused while she said that.

It was time I cut her some slack and get her out of her misery.

" Ashu isn't kidnapped. She is nicely watching TV at my brother's place."

" Why would she do that?"

Okay now Niyati only looked confused and the question was more to herself than me.

" How am I supposed to know? Why don't you go and ask my stupid brother. He is waiting outside the office by the way."

I was finding the whole situation a lot funny. It was like watching daily soap. Well what more could I expect when my brother was involved.

" What does your brother have anything to do with all of this? How does he know Ashu?"

What the hell was Niyati asking about?

I just kept staring at her trying to figure out if she was joking. No she wasn't. She looked too shaken to be joking right now. It was clear she had no idea. How can she be so stupid to trust people without even knowing about them.

" You really need to check out people's background before letting them inside your house. How come you don't even know the last name of your sister's boyfriend?"

I was irritated now. How can she be so blind? Thank God my brother is a good person. Else both the sisters would have been in real trouble.

" Sh.. Shikhar is your brother?"

That was the last thing Niyati said as she hit the ground looking as if someone had shot her.
