Illoha's POV:

I sit on my new bed reading messages from Foxete. We've been texting eachother for over an hour, and I'm supposed to be asleep.
She texts me again;
Fox: Icey is asleep and I'm so boreddd
You: I could come over to you
Fox: Acron would kill u 4 being awake
You: Doesn't matter. My shift is in an hour
Fox: Fine
I sneak down the hall and to the Prison bay. Acron, who's in the elevator trying to fix it, never suspects a thing.
"Yo." Fox whispers trying not to wake Icey or any of the other prisoners.
"How's it's going?" I smile.
"Boringgg." She whines.
I look at her long hair, which has become very overgrown. It's messy, but it doesn't look that bad, like she could look bad in anything.
"Could I braid your hair?" I ask her out of pure boredom.
"Why not. It's not like we have anything better to do." She laughs.
We sit down and I begin braiding her hair.
"How's the new ship going for you?" I ask her.
"Pretty good. Nice place. Absolutely no privacy though." She sighs, " 'suppose there's more privacy then the other one."
"Her hair goes all the way down her back, so it will take me a bit to braid.
"Did you know I used to wear dresses like Icey's?" I ask.
"Really?" She laughs, "So now you're confined to the life of armor and sweatpants?"
"Definitely more comfortable." I smile.
We talk about how we're adjusting to the ship and I realize something as I tie off the end of her braid.
I don't feel that horrible guilt anymore when I look at her. I feel... happy..?

Foxete's POV:
Illoha sat braiding finishes braiding my hair.
"I should cut my hair." I sigh.
"Do you want to?" She laughs, "I can undo the braid."
"Nah." I smile, turning to face her, "I'll do it later."
Illoha yawns.
"Go to bed Princess." I sigh.
"No, I have a shift after." She sighs closing her eyes slightly.
"Then just close your eyes for a bit." I smile.
"You won't wake me up." She yawns again.
She scoots over and rests her head on my shoulder. Within minutes, Illoha starts lightly snoring.
You're right. I won't be waking you.
