THIRTY-EIGHT

LUCIA sat at lunch with Moon that day rather than with Cobra Kai.

Lucia watched as Hawk sent Mitch away from their table and sighed.

"Why is he sending them away?" Moon asked.

"Probably because they had to leave Cobra Kai." Lucia answered.

Moon looked at her then nodded her head towards the table.

Lucia nodded and the two stood up.

"How the hell did you guys understand each other from that?" Yasmine asked.

The two shrugged them walked over to the table.

"Do you guys wanna come sit with us?" Moon asked.

"Really?" Bert perked up.

Lucia nodded.

"But I thought you were in Cobra Kai?" Mitch squinted.

Lucia shrugged. "I think I'm all set with Cobra Kai."

Mitch looked at the other two boys.

"Okay, yeah. We'll sit with you guys." Mitch decided.

"Awesome." Moon smiled.

The boys then followed the girls back to the table and just as they sat down, Kyler began bellowing across the cafeteria.

"Hey, guys, check this out. He's standing around with a dick in his hand."

Everyone in the cafeteria started laughing and Demetri ripped his arm away and walked out.

Yasmine watched him walk out, concern on her face.

Both Moon and Lucia stood up to go after him, but Lucia looked towards Moon. "I'll go."

"You sure?" Moon asked.

Lucia nodded.

"Okay."

Moon then planted a kiss on her cheek and Lucia softly smiled before going to find Demetri.

Unfortunately for her, the bell had rung and students started filing out of the cafeteria. "Shit."

Sighing, she walked to Miguel's locker. "You seen where Demetri went?"

"No, sorry, Cia." Miguel apologized.

"It's fine." Lucia said. "Why is everyone a fucking asshole?"

"Kreese."

"That's why I left Cobra Kai. And because of—."

"Tory." Miguel finished.

"Yeah..."

Just then, Johnny walked up to the two West Valley students.

"Sensei Lawrence?" She questioned.

"How did you get through security?" Miguel asked.

"I went to school here, think I don't know all the secret ways in?" He then looked toward Lucia. "'Sup, blondie, you gonna join my new dojo?" He asked.

"New dojo?" Lucia questioned.

"Yup. And I found us a pretty sweet spot."

"Awesome, I'll be there." Lucia nodded.

"Alright, blondie." Johnny cheered. "How's recruiting going?"

Miguel closed his locker and Moon walked up to them, handing Lucia her bag.

"Any luck?" Moon asked.

"Nope." Lucia sighed.

"We'll talk to him later."
