Sirius's pov
"Happy New Year's Eve, baby!" I cheered.
It was around eleven in the morning when I awoke. I stood on James's bed as I announced the date.
"Please don't ever say "baby" again, Pads," Remus sighed.
"Whatever," I said, pausing for a few seconds. "Baby."
"Y'know what," Remus huffed, "I'm going downstairs."
"Baby! Moony! Remus, don't be like that!" I exclaimed, jumping off James's bed.
"See you around, Sirius," he waved, exiting James's room and shutting the door.
"Ugh, it doesn't matter," I huffed, running my hands through my hair. "Prongsy-poo, have you gotten Mum's permission to set off the fireworks?"
"Yes," James answered, firmly.
"Y'know we should go back to the no-maj town," (y/n) suggested. "We need more decorations and music options. I know the perfect place too!"
"Would any stores even be open during new year's eve?" Peter questioned, helping James take out fireworks from my trunk.
"I'm sure it'll be open," she nodded.
"Well I much rather stay here," Peter said, letting out a sigh. "It's gonna be too cold."
"I'll stay with Pete," James mumbled, "I have to set up the fireworks."
"Well I can ask Remus if he wants to go with us," (y/n) said.
"Then I'll ask Mum if she needs anything," I smiled.

It was only thirty minutes later when (y/n), Remus, and I were getting ready to leave to the muggle town.
"What store are we going to again?" Remus asked as he tied his snow boots.
"Ray's Records," (y/n) answered. "Will works there."
"Will? You mean Willy?" I questioned (y/n).
"Uh- Yes," she nodded, unsurely. "Well his name is William. Willy and Will is just a nickname."
"Did I hear someone say Lily?!" James yelled from upstairs.
"We're talking about Willy!" I yelled back.
"Oh! Okay!" James responded in the same booming tone. "Nevermind, I don't care!"

(Y/N)'s pov
I was trapped in my mind while we walked to the no-maj town. Sirius, Remus, and I have been walking for a good 10 minutes. My mind was filled with worries. I was afraid Will was going to say something about Regulus and that's where I lose Sirius's trust.
"Hey, are you alright?" Remus asked, nudging my arm.
"Yeah," I sighed, creating a lie. "It's just crazy how time flies."
"Tell me about it," he chuckled. "Already going to be 1976."
"Not only that but..." I let out a large sigh, "it feels like yesterday I just arrived to Hogwarts."
"Yeah, it's been so amazing since you came here," Remus smiled. "I mean, there was finally something new for once."
"What? You Marauders are always doing something different," I teased.
"Yeah, but that became a part of the schedule," Remus shrugged.
"Moony's right," Sirius nodded. "You've changed so many lives already."
