Pov y/n

I'm sitting in class but my whole focus lays on the red head who sits in front of me.
Natasha Romanoff.
The most beautiful girl in this whole school. She transferred here about a year ago but ever since I first saw her, I had a crush on her.
We only have two classes together but they are my favorite ones because I get to see her.
She's not just beautiful but also very smart and sporty.
I only go to any school sport events because I get to see her as a cheerleader and she is amazing.

Except from a few words in class, we never really talked, maybe because our friend groups are so different. And I probably also would faint if she talked to me in private.
Just imagining her forest green eyes looking into my y/e/c ones makes little butterflies appear in my stomach.

"Y/n? Can you answer the question, please?" The teacher asks and pulls me back into reality.
I look at him and to the notes he wrote onto the board.
"Can you repeat the question, please?" I ask and blush slightly.
"Sure. What do you think about King George's decision?"
Right, we're talking about that guy. Think y/n, think!
My eyes dart to the board to find any clues on what he did exactly because I didn't pay attention at all.

I start to talk slowly, piecing something together and hoping for the best.
The teacher doesn't look really satisfied with my answer but he lets it go and starts talking again.
I let out a breath and lay my head into my hands for a few seconds.
When I look up, I can feel someone watching at me and look around.
A pair of beautiful green eyes looks at me and I look back, unsure why she looks at me.

When her lips form a small smile and she turns around, my mind starts spinning, thinking about what that could have meant.
Why did she look at me?
Did she maybe noticed that I was starring at her?
Or does she think I'm dumb because of my answer?
The rest of the lesson, I can't stop thinking about the eye contact and it's potential meaning.

My friend Riley comes to me during our break and looks at me concerned.
"Why do you look like you want a hole in the ground to swallow you?" They nudge my shoulder friendly and I let my head sink against my locker.
"Because that would save me from interpreting to much into what just happened."
"Uhhh, tell me." They demand and I take my head from the locker to lead them somewhere with less people.

"I just had history and Natasha and I had eye contact for a few seconds before she looked away with a smile and I don't know what that could mean." I whine a little and let me fall into Riley's arms.
They catch me and rub my back.
"But that's great, right? I mean she smiled so that's good." They try to cheer me up.
"But I answered something really dumb before when the teacher asked me." I complain into their shoulder.
"If she wanted to make fun of you, she would have done it differently."
I look up at Riley and lean back again.
"You think so?"
"I'm sure. I bet she was being nice."

I bite my lip a little and nod, maybe they are right and she was trying to be nice.
But then again, why would she be nice to me?
We barely have any contact except class and she is pretty popular and could be friends with anyone.
"I would give anything to date her." I sigh while we make our way to the cafeteria.
"Maybe one day you will." Riley tries to encourage me.

We sit down with our lunch and start to eat while changing the topic and talking about random things.
"Hey, y/n."
My head shoots up at the angel-like voice and I look at Natasha, standing in front of me with her food tray in hand.
"Hey, Natasha." I almost stutter in surprise.
Somehow I always thought she didn't know my name but apparently she does.
"I just wanted to check in on you, if you were okay. You seemed a little...off in history today." She says and smiles kindly at me which makes the butterflies in my stomach return.
"Yeah, I guess I was just distracted. Thanks for asking." I answer, slightly blushing.

"Of course. Mind if I take a seat?"
"Not at all." Riley says when I am too dazzled to answer.
She puts her tray down and sits next to me.
I can smell her perfume and it's sweet and herb at the same time, or is that her natural scent?
"I better go, I have to clean my locker." Riley says and gets up, smirking at me a little and winking while Natasha drinks some of her water.
I shoot Riley a look, usure if that's a good ides because I'm pretty nervous.
After a bit of silent, I decide to be brave and talk to Natasha.

"So, why did you sit down with us? Not that I don't like it, it's just you usually sit with your friends and eat with them and we barely know each other and yeah." I ramble fast and bite my lip at the end of my sentence, wanting to facepalm myself for sounding so stupid.
But it doesn't seem to bother Natasha. She puts her fork down and looks at me.

"I had my eye on you for a while now." She states bluntly.
I nod, okay yeah. Wait! What?
My surprised eyes meet hers and she smiles cheekily at me.
How can she be so calm about it?
And can she be so direct and honest?

"You didn't notice?" She smiles sweetly at my reaction and I shake my head.
"I thought it was kind of obvious how I always tried to sit close to you in class, smiled at you a lot and when we had to team up this one time, I chose to work with you."
I let her words sink in and when I think about it, she's right but how on earth should I have known that she's into me?
I mean, she's Natasha freaking Romanoff!

Her expression becomes a little unsure the longer I think about it.
"It's okay if you don't feel the same way." She says a little quieter and sounds a bit hurt.
"No, I do!" I say a little too quickly and a wide smile creeps onto her face.
"It's just...I never thought you would like me back because you're you and I'm just...me." I scratch the back of my head and look down onto my tray.
"First of all, you are amazing and beautiful and great and second off all, I like 'just' you."
Her fingers slowly lift my chin so that she can look into my eyes and I blush at her words.

"You are a little shy sometimes, aren't you?" She asks softly and locks eyes with me, which makes me blush even more but I nod.
"That's okay, it's quite cute." It's just a whisper but I still heard it.
Her hand slides to cup my face and she slowly comes closer, still holding eye contact.
"Is this okay?" She asks and waits for my responds before she goes any further.
My heart beats fast in my chest and I slowly nod, not letting go of her eyes.

Her thumb lightly brushes over my bottom lip before she connects our lips. Hers are soft and I melt into them, kissing her back instantly and it feels like there are firecrackers exploding in my stomach and pure joy floods through my body.
I shyly place my hand on her neck and pull her a little closer.
She reacts instantly and her tongue licks over my bottom lip so I open them for her and her tongue gently discovers my mouth until it finds mine and they dance together a little, getting to know each other.

When we pull away for air, her cheeks are a little flushed as well.
"That was...wow, Natasha." I breath out, still not really realizing that I just kissed my crush.
"You know, you don't always have to say my full name. I like how it sounds out of your mouth but you could also call me Nat or Tasha or basically anything you want, even your girlfriend if you're up for it?" She bites her lip a little unsure and my eyes dart from her lip to her eyes as I understand what she just told me.

"You wanna be my girlfriend?" I ask, not sure if I understood her correctly.
"Yes, I would like to, thanks for asking." She smirks at me and I take a second to realize what just happened.
"Are we officially together now?"
Her eyes are soft as she nods and takes my hand and kisses the back of my hand.
"Only if you want to, of course." She makes sure I'm okay with it.
"Hell yeah!" I say, louder than intended and she chuckles, pulling me in for another kiss.
I must be the luckiest girl in the world to now be dating Natasha Romanoff!

A/n: I didn't want to write it in the middle of the story, so here are my thoughts when I wrote the word 'fork':
You only have *one* fork?
I'm only one person.
Kate, this is not cutlery.

Sorry for the late update, I had a busy day.

Yeah. Anyways, thanks for reading and love to you all <3
