Chapter 2

The Next Day…

“Hyung, am I looking good?”Asked a nervous han in front of the glass window of their office building.

“You look way too beautiful, don’t worry” answered minho

“I didn’t ask you,” Said han while turning away his head to hide the visible redness in his cheeks. To the unversed, this may seem like han being rude or not appreciating his hyung’s kind words but only some knew that what those had cannot be described in words. There was always an inexplicable vibe around them. They were being shipped together by their fans and they knew it, yet they were not uncomfortable around each other or didn’t avoid contact in public.

“Don’t worry han, you look good in a suit, as a matter of fact, we all look good in a suit.” said bang chan interrupting the blushing session.

“But why do we have to wear a suit to the office? It’s not like we are office workers or anything.” Asked seungmin

“It’s just for today. The management asked us to give a strong impression to win his favor or something like that. Just let it be, it’s not like we have to wear it every day” said bang chan

Just then another group of people came towards them and it did not take them long to see that the group of people were their seniors in the industry, GOT7.

“Looking great as always I see. It’s been a while, how have you been?” asked bam bam, a member of GOT7

“Not great really, Some guy decided it would be a good idea to renovate their house 24 hours a day and although it is bearable it gets irritating at times.” answered chan.

“But aren’t you living at like the topmost floor of the building? How can that amount of noise reach you?” asked Jackson

“To be precise we live on the second topmost floor of the building and someone is moving into the penthouse located above our floor. The renovation has been going on for a week now and the most agitating part is that no one pays any heed to our noise complaints” answered han.

“Oh, I didn’t know that there was a penthouse located above your floor. But apart from that, you guys are all looking a bit nervous.” Said bam bam

“There is no need to be nervous. I think the transition was much needed and you all also know that. But I did hear some interesting piece of information. Did anyone of you know that the new CEO is younger than most of us here?" asked jaebeom

As soon as that was said, Gasps could be heard around the group of people. Never in their wildest dreams had they thought of their new CEO as a guy of their age. They had the impression that the new CEO will be like those old guys who knew nothing of music and only cared about money.

“You are joking, aren’t you?” asked jeongin.

“I am not joking jeongin, that is true and when I say younger, I mean it. He is just a little older than Felix I think.”

“Then how is he the CEO of such a large company from such a young age? How did no one of the conservative board directors oppose his appointment?” asked minho

“I know for a fact that they did oppose this but they couldn’t do anything as that guy holds such a large fraction of our company’s shares. That guy is a billionaire and an entrepreneur of excellent skills. None of his projects has ever failed and maybe that’s why they accepted him without further resistance.”

“This guy is interesting. Now I am piqued to see who this guy is who could buy such a big company at such a young age” said Felix after listening in to all these conversations.

“It’s almost time for his arrival, I think we should go and get seated first before he arrives.” said chan

“Yes, we should get going. We will see you soon. Bye” said jaebeom before leaving with his members.

“Should we also get moving? The new guy will be here any minute.” asked chan

“Alright let’s go”said minho

“But one more thing, please don’t create any trouble in there. Just because the new CEO is of our age, we cannot treat him like a friend from the beginning. We need to respect his position and title, Remember that at all times.” Said chan in a voice that indicated that he shouldn’t be joked around in this situation.

“Don’t worry Hyung, we are not small kids that we will throw tantrums inside the hall.”

“I certainly hope so.” said chan along with a sigh followed by a lighthearted laugh from the members.

After finding their allocated seats in the second row along with all the other artists, they all sat down silently and began waiting for the introduction and reveal of the new CEO whose fame preceded him. People were intrigued after what they had heard of the new CEO. Different people said different things about him but the thing that was common in all those was that he was handsome.

After just a few minutes, the door opened and the secretary came along and announced that the new CEO had arrived in the building and will be making his way into the auditorium soon enough.

“The anticipation in the room can be easily heard by anyone. Why are all these people so nervous about this?” asked Felix after being silent for so long.

“I guess everyone is worried about their jobs. From what I have heard, he never spares anyone who doesn’t do their work properly. He is young but he is also imposing and authoritative.” answered bam bam from the side of the row.

As soon as he completed his sentence the door opened and a guy walked inside wearing a complete three-piece suit. Gasps and murmurs could be heard all across the room and everyone was either admiring or staring down the guy. He could easily be mistaken as an idol for his looks. The aura he exuded was strong and domineering and the stance his walk had was full of dignity.

The new CEO made his way into the stage present in the auditorium and was given a microphone to introduce himself. Everyone’s anticipation at that point was sky high and everyone’s complete attention was on the guy in front of them.

“Hello everyone, I am Hwang hyunjin and I am the new CEO of JYP entertainment.”Said the guy who was the center of attention from the beginning.

Among all the commotion, No one noticed that Felix was staring down the guy who was their new boss. After some time when chan noticed his stiff body and asked if anything happened to him the only sentence that left his mouth was

“He is beautiful.”
