Chapter 31

Currently sitting in the passenger seat, Felix was thinking about everything that had transpired between him and Hyunjin from the day they met. From instantly crushing on the guy to falling in love and dating him, many things had changed in the past year. Felix was thinking about all the moments they had shared and how their first trip to the beach in Los Angeles was still as vivid as yesterday. But before he could dive further into his thoughts, he was brought back to reality when he felt something gently caressing his hand. It was Hyunjin who saw Felix being lost in thoughts and placed his right hand on Felix's left hand intertwining their fingers in the process.

“What are you thinking about, love?” asked a curious hyunjin while driving with one hand

“Nothing much. I was just thinking about us.”

“us?” asked hyunjin while keeping his eyes on the road ahead of them

“Just some casual things. Like how we both fell in love and how we started dating and all that stuff.” Answered Felix

“Isn’t it a little too soon to feel nostalgic? We haven’t dated for that long yet. We both still have a very long way to go.” Said hyunjin with a reassuring smile

“Then tell me, How long are you thinking of when you speak like that?” asked a curious Felix

“Forever.” That was all hyunjin said but that single word spoke volumes to Felix. That single word caused Felix’s heart rate to rise and that single word caused Felix to blush.

“By the way, I didn’t ask this but where are we going?” asked Felix

“We are going to a resort which has its own private beach that I rented out for today."

“What? Why? Why did you spend so much money again?” asked Felix feeling a little guilty

“I know what you are thinking but don’t think like that. I do that because I want you to be protected and carefree when we are together and also because I can. You are dating the third richest man in all of Asia. Even if you don’t like to splurge, use my money sometimes, it won’t even make a dent in my balance. I know that you are being considerate of me, lixie. But at times like these, I just hope you enjoy yourself without worrying about anything else. Do that for me, please.” Said hyunjin with a little squeeze on Felix’s hand

“Well Mr. Rich Boyfriend, if you wish then I will spend all your money.” Said Felix with a small giggle

“Go ahead, Mr. Famous Boyfriend. Exploit me as much as you wish.” Replied hyunjin with the same giggle.

After driving for some more time, they both reached a resort located outside the city and proceeded to go inside. Once inside, they both went to the room that Hyunjin had booked for them to rest if they were tired.

They both changed out of their clothes and got dressed in just shorts and tank tops. Then they both went in for a swim in the ocean whose waters met with the horizon in a distance. Although Felix initially resisted going in to swim, he finally gave in when hyunjin picked him up yet again and dropped him directly in the water bed.

“Ahhhhh… Jinnie, it’s not fair." Complained Felix who was now soaking wet due to the former’s action

“Everything is fair in love, my sunshine. Including this.” Said hyunjin while laughing after seeing Felix’s reaction

“Oh, is that so? Then what about this?” asked Felix before splashing hyunjin with the ocean water which made hyunjin run away from Felix in the water. But unfortunately for him, Felix was in no mood to let him go and began chasing him in the water.

“Lixie, stop. Stop. Ackkkk--” said hyunjin while laughing before Felix finally caught up to him and tackled him from behind which made Hyunjin trip over and fall into the water.

“Hey, are you okay? Did I push you too hard?” asked a concerned Felix

“I am not okay, Felix.” Said hyunjin with a poker face and extended his hand for Felix to hold and pull him up.

But when Felix grabbed his hands, Hyunjin suddenly pulled Felix towards him which made Felix lose his balance and fall on top of Hyunjin who was laughing loudly at this.

“Hey, you cheated.” Said Felix while playfully hitting Hyunjin’s arm

“Do you remember what I said? Everything is fair, my love.” Said a laughing hyunjin who then pulled Felix into a tight hug.

Although initially, Felix tried to resist the embrace, he gave up when he realized that he was not strong enough to push away Hyunjin
After some time of just lying in the shallow waters, Felix got up and hyunjin followed suit.

“Hey, what happened? Where are you going?” asked hyunjin

“Just follow me into the waters, Jinnie. There is something that I want to try with you.” said Felix

After Felix said this, he and hyunjin both swam a little away from the shore into the deeper water surface. Although the water was not that deep, it was deep enough for them to submerge their heads completely under the water. After reaching the desired point, Felix turned around and gave hyunjin a glance which hyunjin couldn’t understand the meaning of. Then Felix suddenly dived under the water surface.

But after some time when Felix didn’t emerge back, Hyunjin began to worry. He frantically swam to the place where Felix was swimming previously and started to call out for him everywhere which gained him no response from the other. He was just about to lose it all when he suddenly felt something grab his legs and pull him into the water. Although Hyunjin couldn’t initially see what or who it was, after some time when he finally was able to open his eyes a little, he saw Felix in front of him. It was Felix who pulled him.

Just as he was about to go above the water surface, Hyunjin felt Felix’s hands slowly grabbing his waist and neck. He couldn’t understand at first what was happening but before he could process anything a blanket of warmth found its way to his lips.

Felix was kissing hyunjin passionately inside the water and although hyunjin didn’t say it, he liked that Felix took it upon himself to do that. They both kissed like that for some more time before they both ran out of air and had to go up to get some oxygen. Once their heads were above the water surface, Hyunjin couldn’t stop himself from scolding Felix due to the prank he pulled.

“Do you know how much worried I was? Do you know what I felt at that moment? Everything came crashing down at once inside me. Please don’t do stuff like this anymore. Please don’t prank me like that anymore.” Rambled Hyunjin

“I am sorry that I didn’t consider how you would feel. I promise I won’t prank you like that ever again.” said Felix while coming forward and once again hugging hyunjin to calm him down

“I hope you remember that. But by the way, what was that? Why did we kiss inside the water?” asked a curious hyunjin

“I actually had a bucket list wish of kissing my boyfriend like that inside the water and now that the opportunity arose, I didn’t want to let go of this.” Said Felix who was a blushing mess by now

“I will be honest, I liked that. Apart from everything that happened, I liked the kiss.” Said hyunjin

“Fine. Now stop talking about that. I am embarrassed now. Can we get out of the water now? Don’t tell me our date consists of just swimming till we are tired.” Asked Felix with a slightly bewildered face

“Of course not, lixie. I have prepared a lot of things for you. Let’s go out, shall we?”

“Yes, let’s go.” Said Felix before turning around to walk to the shore but he was suddenly stopped when Hyunjin grabbed his hand and turned him around for another passionate kiss but this time above the water.

“This is just the beginning, my love.”
