Y/n's Pov

I woke up in bed with a pounding headache. I didn't remember too much of what happened last night but I do remember coming back to bed with someone.

I rolled over to get more comfortable and almost screamed when I saw who it was.

"Pietro! Why am I in your bed?" I asked him while sitting up. He just started laughing at me and it pissed me off.

"It's not funny. I need to know why I'm back here," I complained as I ran my hand through my hair.

"Don't you remember Y/n/n? Don't you remember what happened with Nat?" Pietro asked me while turning his head.

It soon hit me about what happened last night.

-

I was walking into Tony's party with a blood-red dress on trying to catch the attention of my girlfriend, Natasha.

Lately, she had been distant and I didn't one hundred percent know why. I mean, I saw the way she looked at Steve but I never thought she would act on it.

When I walked into the room all eyes were on me, well all except Natasha's but that was nothing new. She was more focused on Steve.

I decided to grab a drink from the bar but quickly regretted it because Natasha was serving up the drinks.

"Hey baby," she said to me as she poured me a martini. I didn't answer her but took the martini because I knew I needed to get drunk tonight.

I was at least four drinks in when I saw Natasha grab Steve by the collar of his shirt and lead him into a closet.

I was pissed but I figured this was going to happen. As much as it pained me to say it, we were both falling out of love with each other.

I started my walk to get my fifth drink when Natasha and Steve came out of the closet. I rolled my eyes and kept walking but this time Natasha was following me.

"Y/n, baby, can we please talk?" She begged as I grabbed my drink. I didn't want to deal with this while I was basically drunk but I figured I mine as well get it over with.

"Fine Nat, we can talk."

She smiled at me before grabbing my hand and leading me to the closet that she and Steve were just making out in.

"Y/n, why do you feel so distant from me? Did I do something wrong?"

I just started laughing. She gave me a strange look that just made me laugh harder. I didn't know if it was because I was drunk or I just wasn't processing this the best.

"Why are you laughing Y/n?"

"Well, Natasha, I'm laughing because you think I'm fucking stupid. You think I'm stupid enough not to realize how you look at Steve. You think I'm stupid because you think I don't know what's going on between you and Steve. I'm not the only one fucking pulling away Natasha."

She looked like she was going to cry. I was tired of this whole thing.

"Natasha, we both knew that this day was going to come. We both know that you're cheating on me. I'm so sorry Natasha but this isn't going to work anymore."

I saw the tears running down her face but I just couldn't take this relationship anymore.

"I'm so sorry Nat, but friends don't look at friends that way."

I quickly opened the closet door and walked out. I needed to find someone who wasn't Bucky or Tony or Stephan. I took my heels off and started to walk towards the elevator doors.

I felt a sudden breeze so I immediately knew who was next to me. "Do you want to stay in my room Y/n/n? You look like you've had a hard night. I shook my head, yes and the rest of the night became a blur.

Holy shit! I broke up with Nat while I was drunk and hormonal. I mean, I didn't regret it but I felt bad for how I did it.

"Pietro, can you come down to get breakfast with me?"

He shook his head yes and grabbed my hand before dragging me down to the kitchen.

When we got there, everyone except Steve and Nat were in the kitchen.

"So, are you aware of the show you put on last night?" Stephan asked me as I grabbed a cup.

"We both know the answer to that so don't ask." I shot back at him because my head hurt like a bitch on a stick.

"I'm making pancakes if you want some "y/n/n," Tony said gently. I assumed he also had a hangover because he was being sweeter than normal.

After about twenty minutes the pancakes were done and we were stuffing our faces. I heard the floorboards creak but I didn't think to see who it was.

"Good morning guys," Steve said with a smile. I knew that smile. It was the 'I just got laid by Natasha Romanoff' smile.

I got up from my seat and walked up to Natasha. "I told you, friends don't look at friends that way."

She gave me a sad smile and I just walked away. I didn't think she understood that we were holding on for all the wrong reasons and me breaking up with her was her great excuse.

I didn't see it that way. I see it as we were both falling out of love and having feelings for other people. She just acted on hers while my stayed in my heart forever.

But hey, I will always know that friends don't look at friends that way.
