On the rare occasions when Wei Ying was actually awake before his husband, he liked to just watch him sleeping.

Lan Zhan was a work of art, and Wei Ying felt as if he could look at him all day, if he was allowed to. He tried not to move, but as he was tucked under Lan Zhan's chin, this was a little bit difficult, but he eased away just so he could raise himself up and stare.

Fine porcelain, as fresh as newly polished jade, Lan Zhan's skin glowed with a luminosity. It wasn't just superficial, his Jade was inherently beautiful inside out, and this quality shone through in everything he did.

Such a caring man, one who had stood by him no matter what, Lan Zhan's devotion was humbling in its ferocity, how one man could feel so much. Wei Ying bent down and pressed his lips lightly against his smooth expanse of forehead, marvelling at how warm Lan Zhan always was.

Immediately warmer arms came around him, holding him tight, and Wei Ying laughed, a pretty, melodious sound.

"How long have you been awake, my love?" He whispered, not wishing to disturb the peace of the morning.

"Since Wei Ying moved."

His deep voice never failed to induce shivers, and Wei Ying curled against, feeling soft with love.

"I thought it was a rare gift to be able to wake up before you. You're so beautiful, my Lan Zhan." Wei Ying sighed happily. "I love looking at you."

"Wei Ying is beautifuller."

He felt kisses in his hair as he snickered.

"That's not a word."

"I just said it." Lan Zhan was being stubborn.

Wei Ying yawned and stretched, finishing by wrapping his arms around his husband.

"We should treasure these moments..."

"Mn. Mn?"

"Well, because right now...what time is it?"

"Just past midday."

"See? Back in Cloud Recesses, I'd be just waking up...and I know for a fact, you would already have been awake for the past six hours, done your handstands, which I love, by the way, and your meditation, and had breakfast, and finished marking yesterday's homework for your classes, and taught another one." Wei Ying opened a silver eye. "Am I wrong?"

"Mn. Forgot about kissing my Wei Ying." He sounded shy.

Wei Ying sat up straddling him, delighted with his response.

"Really?"

"Mn." Lan Zhan wasn't looking at him, but his red ears gave him away like an eager snitch.

"And didn't we talk about this?"

"Mn?"

"Stealing kisses?"

"It's Wei Ying. Cannot resist."

"Neither can I!" Wei Ying melted into another one, carefully licking at Lan Zhan's mouth, begging entrance, and gleefully diving in when they opened for him.

Kissing Lan Zhan was like eating ice cream, only this lasted forever, and was so much sweeter. That first burst of flavour, of spice and sandalwood, of something that was only his Lan Zhan...and Wei Ying could not get enough.

The way Lan Zhan surrounded him, his embrace all encompassing and protective and Wei Ying felt so...cherished.

"Happy anniversary, my love." He whispered against smiling lips. "I love waking up next to you. I love the feeling that as soon as I wake up, I get to spend the whole day with you, and the night, and then sleeping doesn't sound so bad, because I'll wake up and be able to do it all over again. I love you so much."

For Lan Zhan, as he stared into beautiful silver starlight eyes, he realised why he had studied the stars all that long ago. Within Wei Ying's eyes, he could see constellations and clusters of stars, a light that shined from within, and every single day he was privileged to see this wondrous sight, he counted himself lucky.

So he sat up and with a single finger, he raised Wei Ying's face so their lips could meet once more.

Sweet morning kisses were delicious and soothing, something to look forward to when they were alone.

"I bet the children are up..." Wei Ying bounced out of bed with that thought.

They dressed quickly with Lan Zhan straightening his robes properly and tying them in a way that kept them closed, Wei Ying watched him lovingly. They did each other's hair, with Wei Ying wishing for flowers, remembering a time before they had come here.

And Lan Zhan promised him all the flowers he could want when they got back. They opened their door to find Li XiWang about to knock and Wei Ying swept her up in a hug, kissing her rosy cheeks until she was struggling to get away, giggling and laughing. He handed her to Lan Zhan and picked up a smiling Rumi, doing the same to him.

Rumi was a quieter child and in that, reminded him of Lan Zhan. If Wei Ying looked carefully, he could tell sonething of what his baby boy was thinking most of the time. His purple eyes were changing in colour, depending on how the light shone on them, and Wei Ying was excited to know how he would be when he grew up.

After Hui Gai's explanation on Klem's growth spurt yesterday, he wondered whether the same would be true for Rumi and what would his son look like as an adult? Wei Ying hugged him harder at that, not ready for his baby to grow up.

"We were hungry." Li XiWang explained as Wei Ying kissed the top of Klem's head in greeting.

"Then, what are we waiting for?" Wei Ying replied, as his stomach gurgled in protest and his eyes shot up to meet golden ones that had also heard it. He grinned, knowing Lan Zhan was not going to waste any time.

"Let's find a nice place, huh, my love? Not the first one we see?" He sidled up to his overprotective husband and beamed up at him.

"Mn." Not happy.

"What if the first one we see is a good one?" Li XiWang offered, grinning at both of her fathers as they left the hotel.

"Then today's going to be a lucky day, and we should take full advantage of that, and Lan Zhan's heavy purse. Isn't that right, my love?" Wei Ying winked at him.

"Mn." Much happier.

There was a certain way Lan Zhan would look at him, as if he, Wei Ying, was utterly perfect, just as he was. A softness that seemed to leave him in waves of love, and Wei Ying wanted to pull him into another embrace, but they were both carrying a child and so he settled on kissing Lan Zhan's cheek instead.

"Let's go exploring!" He declared.
