Jessica sits at her vanity, brushing her brunette locks out as A Hard Day's Night by The Beatles played throughout her room. After brushing out one last lock, she sets her hairbrush down on her vanity and gets up. As the chorus starts playing, Jessica dances her way over to her bed. She jumps down and bends over, grabbing her white sneakers. She makes quick work of the laces, double knotting them before getting up and making her way over to her dresser.

As she walks over, she passes her wall calendar. She pauses and walks backwards. She turns her body, her eyes scanning the days. Her eyes widen. "Shit, shit, shit, shit," she curses as she runs over to her dresser and picks up her backpack before running out her bedroom. She runs down the hallway and straight at the front door.

"Morning sweetie-"

"I'm late for work!" Jessica yells at her mom as she opens the front door and slams it shut on her way out.

"Hope you have a great day, sweetie," Claudia calls out after her. She turns around and gives her son a smile as he walks into the kitchen. "Morning, mom." "Morning, Dusty! Here, come sit," she gestures with a spatula. "I made your favorite. Pancakes!"

Dustin grins and sits down as his mom puts a stack of pancakes onto his plate. Dustin begins to dig in. "Where's Jess?" He asks with his mouth full. "She's late for work." "She got the job!?" Claudia nods. "She's now working at Siren Records." Claudia turns and places her plate and spatula into the sink.
