~November 10th, 1983~

Jessica felt a slight tap on her left shoulder. She lets out a groan and buries her face deeper into a pillow. She feels more tapping, followed by a husky voice.

"Jess, wake up."

Jessica opens her eyes and sees Jonathan sitting on the edge of the bed. Jessica rubs her eyes and sits up. She glances out toward the window and saw the sun beginning to rise.

"Shit!" she exclaims as she jumps out of his bed and runs over to the window. "I have to get home before my mom checks on me." She opens the window and climbs out. Once her feet lands on the grass, she turns back as Jonathan stood by the window. He rests his hands on the windowpane and leans against it. "...thanks for last night."

Jessica's eyes soften at his words. "It's what friends do...be there for each other, even if they're at odds at the moment." Jonathan nods. "You better get going," he tells her. "Don't want to give your mom a heart attack."

Jessica hesitates for a moment. She wanted to say more to Jonathan but clearly the two weren't as close as they used to be. "...yeah." She turns and walks alongside the house. She peers her head around and saw that Chief Hopper was still sitting in his truck. The moment he looks away from the house, Jessica sprints across the lawn and onto the road.
