It had been a long day at work. Most of the time, you didn't really like your work. You never complained about it, but today was just one of those days where it had sucked. You wanted to go home and spend some time with your boyfriend, Jay, but he wasn't here. He texted that it would be late because he was wrapped up in a case. You ordered some dinner for yourself and decided to take a shower to take your mind off the day. But it only made it worse. The shower would sometimes be your overthinking place, just like now. You wanted to quit your job so bad, but you had no idea where else you wanted to work. Nothing felt right or looked like something you wanted to do.

The shower didn't help, so you got out and only put on your underwear and one of Jay his shirts. You connected your phone to the speakers in the house and put some music on. You started to sing along to the songs and poured yourself a glass of wine. With each song, you got more into the songs. With a glass of wine in your hand, you were dancing and singing along to the songs in your underwear.

Because the music was a little loud, you didn't hear Jay coming home. Before he even walked in, he could hear the music in the hallway. He opened the door to your apartment and smiled when he saw you dancing. You were only wearing underwear and his shirt. He closed the door and looked at you. It was like you didn't have a care in the world. You were dancing and singing along to the song. It made him smile.

When you turned around, you almost let your glass fall. "Jesus," you mumbled as you put a hand on your chest.

"Hello to you too," Jay smiled as he walked over to give you a kiss.

"How long have you been standing here?"

"Just long enough to see you dance."

"It's the best therapy in the world."

"Long day?" Jay grabbed a beer from the fridge and leaned against the counter.

"Yep, but I don't want to talk about it. I just got my mind off it." You walked over to Jay and wrapped your arms around him.

"By dancing in your underwear," he smirked.

"Exactly."

"And that is my shirt."

"Yes, sir," you smiled.

"Looks good on you."

You rolled your eyes but smiled. "Looks better on you, though."

"That's debatable." Jay gave you another kiss.

"But how was work?"

"It was alright. Just got caught up in some paperwork."

"That sucks."

"Yeah, but looking forward to going home helped me through it, and it was better than I expected when I got home."

"Is that so?"

"Oh yeah. You looked like you were having fun."

"Then let's have some more fun," you said. You put your glass on the counter and grabbed Jay's hand. You pulled him into the middle of the apartment with you, and you started dancing with him. You sang along with the lyrics, and the two of you danced the night away.
