Ch 23 | Good or Bad

Y/N's POV:

"I forgot how much energy kids have," Jin says breathlessly, leaning back against the chair he's in. Hyun is currently passed out in his lap, resting against Jin's chest.

"He's not usually that hyper," you giggle, standing next to Jin and running your hand through his hair. "He was just overly excited to see Mr. Supertuna."

"I called Ji-Ho," Ana says as she peeks her head out from the kitchen. "He'd just gone to the cafe across the street, he's on his way back."

"Okay," you smile before looking down at Hyun's sleeping face.

As Hyun lies sleeping in Jin's lap, your mind begins to wander. It's not lost on you that if things were different and the stabbing never happened, you'd be in this exact position with Hyun asleep in Ji-Ho's lap instead of Jin's. Your eyes glance towards Jin and he's looking at you like he can tell what you're thinking.

"Are you okay?" he asks with a softness in his voice. "I'm sure it was hard to see him earlier."

"It's better than the first time," you smile weakly, caressing Jin's cheek with the back of your hand. "I was telling Ana earlier that I kind of wish he was a jerk so I could hate him."

"I get that," he chuckles. "Luckily Ma-Ri is a raging bitch so I only have one emotion towards her left. But even I can tell Ji-Ho regrets abandoning you."

"Yeah," you sigh, looking back down at Hyun. "But he made his choice and we all just have to live with it."

You lean down closer to Jin's face to look in his eyes. "Plus, I'm pretty content now," you smile before cupping the back of his head and pressing your lips to his. You feel him smirk against your lips before kissing you back.

"Me too," he says softly between another kiss, making you shiver at his husky voice.

You stand back up as you hear the familiar jingle of your restaurant door opening and you're surprised to see Sena's face.

"Found this sewer rat in the street," she laughs as Ji-Ho follows in behind her, making his jaw slack. "I'm kidding, don't get your panties in a twist," she snorts before heading to the back with Ana.

Ji-Ho's nervous eyes glance back over at you and he's surprised to see you smiling again. Jin stands up and Ji-Ho walks towards you two.

"Thank you," he says to Jin as he passes the little boy to him.

"Of course," Jin smiles, also surprising Ji-Ho. "Your son is hilarious, he was playing with crayons and then suddenly just fell over asleep."

"Yeah," you laugh. "Seokjin actually panicked thinking something was wrong until I told him that's just how little Hyun falls asleep."

You instinctively step forward to ruffle Hyun's bangs, accidentally brushing against Ji-Ho's cheek. Looking up you realize you're only standing a few inches from him.

"Oh, sorry," you say nervously, pulling your hand back and stepping next to Jin.

"It's okay," he smiles, but your stomach turns when you look into his eyes. Now that you have a closer view you can tell he's been crying. "Thanks again for agreeing to see him again."

"Thanks for bringing him by," you say softly, trying not to let your voice shake. "My restaurant will be open on Thursdays, Fridays, and the weekends if you ever want to bring him by."

"Are you sure?" he asks with his brows raised, glancing between you and Seokjin.

"I'll go help Ana in the kitchen," Jin says to you before pressing his lips to your temple. "You two talk."
