Y/N's POV:

"I met Ma-Ri at Jimin's birthday party three and a half years ago," Seokjin says quietly, wrapping his arms around your shoulders from behind, pressing you more into his chest. "She was friends with one of the models he was hooking up with."

You nod and keep your mug in one hand while the other rests gently on his forearm. You can tell he's nervous, so you stay quiet and smooth your thumb over his skin, letting him know it's okay and you're listening.

"I'd dated around before but wasn't super interested in anything serious," he continues, "so when she approached me I didn't think much of it. I thought she was cute and friendly, which intrigued me because her friend was the hot, mean girl type."

He rests his chin on your shoulder, holding you a little tighter. "We flirted all night and I could tell she wanted to go home with me but I was past my one night stand phase, so I actually invited her to dinner the next weekend instead."

"You should've just had a quickie and gotten it over with," you tease, making him smirk against your ear.

"Who knew hoeing around would've saved me a lot of heartache and medical bills?" he chuckles. "But unfortunately the date went well and we really hit it off more than I thought we would. We just casually dated for a few months and I grew to really like her, and then she finally asked me to decide whether I wanted her as a girlfriend or not."

"That's very forward."

"She didn't pressure me though, she just said she'd start dating other people casually too if I wasn't planning to commit."

"That's surprisingly mature of her," you say playfully.

"And that's a big reason why I made it official," he sighs, pressing a kiss to the back end of your cheek. "I actually found it attractive how calm and understanding she was about my busy schedule, and I respected the way she approached me about it. I thought... certainly she wouldn't be a psycho."

You let out a snort that makes the both of you laugh.

"The first year was pretty easy but BTS had slowed down at the time so we were able to spend a lot of time together. Things got tense once I was only around a few times a month."

"How so?"

"If I said I had a dinner from 7-9, she'd be blowing up my phone at 9:02," he frowns, now looking forward again. "She'd yell at me for not picking up, using the excuse that she was just worried about me."

"You shared your location with me the second we said I love you," you laugh. "Did you two not share?"

"No," he shakes his head. "She's the one who didn't want to, saying she trusts me and I should trust her too."

"That's always the excuse," you roll your eyes. "Sharing your location should be for safety, not for spying."

"Well, you know me," he breathes out, "I just shrugged it off, not thinking anything of it."

You nod and take a sip of your hot cocoa, waiting for him to continue.

"Next, she started nagging at me for speaking to certain staff members that were female."

"The staff? You can't avoid that, nor should you."

"Most of our hair and makeup team are women, and I couldn't not talk to them, so we just fought about it all the time."

"Seokjin, no offense," you smile before taking another sip, "but you don't really seem like the type who'd stand for their girlfriend throwing a fit like that. You're patient, that's for sure, but I'm pretty sure you'd nip that conversation in the bud real quickly."
