-the kitchen-

I rushed down stairs trying not be loud as that might upset him, my heart was pounding with not just fear but anger. I hated him for what he did and how he treated me in the car, half way down I slowed my pace down so I could check but honestly I was just slowing my pace down to save time and I didn't have to see him. My blue and green watch read "10:34 am" god I was down the stairs already? I hasn't even noticed.

"DID YOU FINSIH THE BREAD THIS MORNING?"

I was terrified now. I had eaten the last bread but didn't think it would be a problem, this was never been a problem before?

"Yeah, I'm sorry kyle..I didn't realize it was the last piece of bread" I said a little white lie I admit that i did know but he didn't know I knew.

"Really? Because if you didn't know then why on the security cameras catch you looking at the bread for a good 30 seconds, you must've known! YOUR LYING!"

Security cameras?

"I'm sorry I truly didn't know I was zoned out I was late for school, I just grabbed it as mom was rushing me!"
Jeez did I just yell? If I did then it's a yell for help. Where's mom?

"Your lying" kyle spat

"I'm not! U can also my teacher Mr. Corey he knows I was late! U can ask mom! Actually where is mom?.."

He cleared his throat?

"She went back to work.."

I didn't believe one word but once again I played his game as a pawn.

"Ok.. we'll I didn't know I swe-" I was cut short by my face being redirected in the other way as a hand was placed on my cheek, but not in a nice way.

He slapped me.

"You know what happens now."
