Chapter 40

Something changed in the bunny hybrid and it was annoying the feline hybrid. Taehyung barged into Jimin's room to find the fox hybrid busy brushing his tail. He flopped onto the bed and let out a dissatisfied groan.

"What's wrong now?" Jimin asked without really looking at the feline hybrid.

"I saw Jungkook and Y/N hugging in the hallway so I squeezed myself between them and Jungkook just let me!"

"Isn't that a good thing?"

"No! He's not getting huffy and annoyed and whiny. It's not fun anymore."

Jimin shook his head and continued to brush upwards on his tail, "Is that why you were doing all of that? To annoy Jungkook? I thought you just really liked Y/N."

"I do really like Y/N, but just...it was funny when he got really mad. His face got all red and he'd puff his cheeks up! And then his tail would just wiggle! It was so cute! Especially when he would panic and look at her with though big doe eyes. Don't you think it's cute?"

"Sure, but...I mean I wouldn't go out of my way to make Jungkook all whiny like that."

"Well what else is there to do around here?" Taehyung stood up and sat on the floor beside Jimin's chair. He then leaned over and placed his head on the fox's knee.

"I guess..." Jimin began brushing Taehyung's hair which led the feline hybrid to purr.

"Jiminnie..." Taehyung then whispered while looking up at the fox.

"Hm?"

"Are you...excited to leave this place?"

"Uhm...I wasn't planning on leaving..."

"What?!" Taehyung pulled away and sat up, "We can stay if we want?"

"Well I'm volunteering to keep helping here at the safe house,"

"OH can I do that too?"

"I guess, but don't you have a pack at area six thirteen?"

"Oh...yeah..." Taehyung had forgotten. Well, he hadn't forgotten his pack but he had forgotten that he needed to meet with them. They were probably missing him and had prepared a nice spot for him at whatever house they found in Area 613. But he kind of didn't want to leave you guys. Everyone was so nice to him here. True, he was originally staying away from you and your inter-pack, but when he realized just how accepting and patient you all were, he couldn't resist.

Taehyung had always been described as odd. Growing up, many of the other hybrids and humans around him usually scoffed and looked down on him because they didn't understand him. Some people were even mean about how odd he was. So, he kept to himself.

It wasn't until he met his friends at the last shelter he was at that he knew what it was like to have people actually like him. They became a small little pack who didn't ever want to separate from each other. But when Taehyung was chosen to be adopted by himself, his hyungs thought of a way to save him. Seojoon, an older bear hybrid, apparently heard from one of the other hybrids of a house that took in strays and took them to the freedom district. So he and his hyungs busted out of the shelter to seek Area 613.

Their pack luckily found the first house just fine and was led to the second house. They were all so close to the third house until Taehyung got injured. They didn't see the bounty hunter at all and Taehyung got caught. The trap had bit down hard on his leg which rendered him unable to move properly. Good thing Wooshik, a giant otter hybrid, was smart enough to unlock the the trap while Seojoon, Hyunshik (a coyote hybrid), and Sunghwan (a lion hybrid) fought off the bounty hunter.
