Chapter 51

You stood in front of the door and calmly waited for a knock. Hobi had alerted you to the fact that someone had pulled into the driveway. Since Jieun had already returned the day before, you could only assume that it was the new hybrid guest. Jin, Yoongi, and Hobi were situated in the kitchen and waited for you to call them. The girl who was to live in your place for a while had been abused by her previous owner who was male. To make the new hybrid more comfortable, you asked the boys to hide until you could talk to her.

The moment the door bell rang you shuffled to the door and opened it with a smile.

"Hey oh! You're not Yoona," you said while looking at the stranger. Although you and Yoona had never officially met, you knew what she looked like based on photos that Jieun had shown you.

"Yeah, there was a last minute emergency so they asked me to bring over the guest instead," the woman stepped through the threshold before extending her hand to you, "I'm Sun Hwa,"

"Y/N," you took her hand and shook it lightly before she pulled back to allow, a shy cat hybrid to come inside the safe house,

"This is Da-hee,"

"Hello," Da-hee softly said, her ears pulled back while she stared at the floor. Her fur pattern was something you had never seen in a hybrid before. It was white with black and orange spots. The tip of one of her ears looked like it had been bit off. Meanwhile her face had some bandages on it while one of her arms was in a sling. Your hands clenched tightly at the thought of what could've happened to her.

"Hey, Da-hee, I'm Y/N, I'm in charge of the household. Right now there are three hybrid males that also help out and our vet, Jieun. Jieun will want to see you to make sure that your injuries are recovering well. I want to make you feel safe and comfortable while you're here so let me know what you prefer. If you feel more comfortable with hybrids, I can have Jin take you to Jieun and stay with you while you get examined. If you don't want any boys around, I can go with you. Unfortunately we don't have any girl hybrids in the house. What would you like?"

"Uhm..." Da-hee shifted in her spot while thinking.

"Do you want to meet Jin first? Or do you not want to see the boys at all?"

"I'm okay with boys..."she whispered, "C-Can I meet Jin?"

"Of course," you looked towards the kitchen as Jin emerged and slowly walked towards you. Clearly they had been listening in on the conversation and waiting.

"Hi, Da-hee," Jin softly spoke while maintaining a large distance between him and the cat hybrid, "I'm Jin. I'm an otter hybrid. You can't really see my ears before well because of my hair, but you can see I have tail,"

Jin pushed his hair back to show off his ears and then circled to show off his tail before continuing, "I'm Y/N's mate and I'm here to help,"

"Mate?" Da-hee looked up in surprise then looked at you before turning back to Jin.

"Mhmm, I love her very very much and she's just wonderful," Jin put his arm around you before kissing your temple, "We have two other mates in the house as well, Hobi and Yoongi. You don't have to meet them right now though. We want you meet Jieun first. Is that okay?"

"Okay," Da-hee nodded.

"Alright, will you follow me?" Jin smiled and the cat hybrid nodded once more. The otter hybrid gave you one more kiss before leading Da-hee for her check-up. As they walked away you could hear them talk about the foods that she liked.

You turned back to Sun Hwa who looked to have been staring at Jin a little too intensely.

"Where are her things?" you asked.
