Zain's POV

The hours were rushing and he needed to meet Rayan, he wanted his help buying a ring for Valerie. Before he could finish his day Antonio barged into his office with a panting Pauline following behind. "It's ok Pauline", he assured his assistant who walked out leaving the two of them alone in Zain's office. "I thought you were out of town already. What brings you here?", he asked in a relaxed manner even though something felt wrong. "You tell me", he replied throwing his phone at him. He was surprised to see a picture of Hank and him at Joe's. "Is this supposed to mean something to me?", he asked clearly not understanding what the issue was about. "How do you know that man?", he asked angrily. "I went to the army with him, he was in town so I went to hang out with him, why?", he replied returning the phone to him. "That's all? he didn't ask you anything about me?", he asked in a more calm voice. Zain knew where the conversation was heading and he was not about to get anywhere near their business. "Why would he? Look I don't know what your issue with him is so I will just go ahead and stop you right there. He was my partner when I was in the army, so yes we were close and that's it", he said looking him straight in the eye. "Fuck! You better not be hiding things from me... for Valerie's sake", he said getting ready to leave. Zain did not like his tone. "Was that a threat Greco?", he asked standing up from his seat. "Remember that favour you owe me? Make sure it is at the top of your head every time you think about my woman", he warned. Antonio nods his head and left.

With his mood damped, he could not focus on work anymore. He felt frustrated and the only one to relieve him was a woman in the cafeteria. The thought of releasing his tension through her seemed very inviting at this point so he sent someone to call her. A few minutes later there was a knock on his door. He got up from his chair quickly to open the door for her. There she was in her uniform. She looked tired. He pulled her in without saying anything smashing his lips on hers as if his life depended on it. She kissed him back, allowing him to take control as if she knew he needed it. He removed her clothes, carried he to the sofa positioning her on her hands, and kneed he removed his coat and then trousers. "I have to get back to work, see you later", she said about to walk out. "Oh speaking of later, I have a meeting with Rayan", he said and she smiled. "Sure, see you at home", she replied cheerfully then walked out.

"It smells like sex in here man", Rayan complained making Zain roll his eyes. "Are you here to help me or not?", he asked seriously. "I already made an appointment with my old friend, she has a jewellery store. She has the best rings in town. Let's go", he said. Zain closed his laptop leaving the rest of his day in Rayan's hands. True to his word the lady had amazing rings but one caught Zain's eye. It was a platinum DB Classic emerald-cut diamond eternity band with a mixture of 5.28ct white and blue diamonds. It reminded him of how Valerie admitted countless times to such colour reminding her of his eyes. Getting her the ring will be a way to make sure she always has a reminder of him with her. That and the fact that it could be seen from afar, so every man would know she is off the market. "I want that one", he said interrupting the lady who was busy explaining rings to Rayan. "Oh ok, we are going all out I see", she replied with excitement as she proceeded to the ring box collection. Zain was happy that Rayan was able to find out her ring size because he had no idea how he could have pulled that one off too.
