Three months later...
"Here comes the love birds!" Anunsyo ni Tres habang palabas kami ng bahay.
Ryder Gov held my hand and intertwined our fingers. Nilapitan naman kami ni Tres at binuwag ang kamay namin and stood in between us.
"Tama na ang holding hands. Sa tagal niyong lumabas, I know, you di-- aray ko!"
Hinampas ko lang naman ang direktor ng JL. "Ang berde ng utak mo!"
"Bakit? Ano bang ginawa niyo sa loob? Nagdasal?" Binigyan kami ni Tres nang mapanuring tingin.
"We talked," sagot ko dahil walang balak na sumagot itong isa pang gago. Ngiting-ngiti lang, akala mo naman may ginawa talaga kami! Hanggang holding hands lang kami 'no, hindi pa kami nagkikiss!
"Hindi ako naniniwala!"
"Edi 'wag, gago!" I retorted. Muli kong hinawakan ang kamay ni Gov at hinila siya.
Humalakhak naman ang gagong Tres. "Ba't defensive?"
"Hindi kaya," umirap ako.
Pinagbuksan ko si Gov ng pinto. Nang hindi siya tuminag, nag-angat ako ng tingin at pinagtaasan siya ng kilay. Napabuntong-hininga na lang siya at tahimik na naupo sa passengers seat. Sinara ko agad ang pinto at umikot papuntang driver's seat.
I'm still working with him. Kaya kahit ayaw niya na pinagbubuksan ko siya, wala siyang magagawa. Isang tingin ko lang at taas ng kilay sa kanya, payag na siya. Wala naman talaga siyang choice hangga't hindi natatapos ang kontrata ko sa agency ni Tres. And Tres being Tres. Balak niya yatang maging kontrabida as he extended my contract to two more years. So, I'm under his agency for three years. Walang kaso naman sa akin. Okay lang, basta kay Ryder Gov niya ako e-a-assign.
"Ingat kayo," ani Tres.
I waved at them. Hindi lang naman kasi si Tres ang naghihintay sa aming dalawa ni Gov. Team C were also waiting for us.
I slid myself and sat down. I started the engine and drove. I looked at Gov when he held my hand and intertwined our fingers again.
"I love you," he kissed my knuckles.
"I love you too," I answered as I pressed the accelerator even more.
I've realized a lot of things. First, even though I have a fuck up past, I could still be happy. Choice kong magtake ng risk at piliin na maging masaya. Thus, being happy depends on the choice that you made. I mean, I could choose to leave him and be unhappy or stay with him and be happy. But I chose the latter and I'm glad I did.
Second, don't overthink. I have so many what ifs and doubts. Naprapraning ako kakaisip ng mga bagay na hindi pa naman nangyayari. And I chose to let go all of those what ifs and doubts. I chose to be happy.
Third, trust. All my life, I've only trusted one person and that's Sabrina. We treat each other like sisters kaya kahit na itinanim nila sa utak namin ang 'trust no one, everyone is enemy'. But I and Sabrina chose to trust each other. On the other hand, sa case namin ni Gov, pinili kong pagkatiwalaan siya. I trust him. Naniwala ako sa lahat ng sinabi niya. That we could live a happy and peaceful life.
Choices. It's hard. It's hard making choices in life. But you have to make one, stand firm and believe. Believe, that with the choice that you made, you will be happy. As for the wrong choices. It's inevitable naman. But we have to learn from those wrong choices in order to make a better one and become wiser.
As for me, so far, I'm happy being with Ryder Gov. Kapag may misunderstanding or konting away lang, pinag-uusapan agad. I'm new to this relationship kaya madalas akong humihingi ng advice kay Sabrina. Aside from that, Gov also strengthen his security. Natatawa na nga lang ako minsan dahil napakapraning niya.
"We're here," I turned my head to look at the man I fell in love.
Honestly, hindi ko talaga inasahan na may ibang tao na magmamahal sa akin maliban kay Sab. I believe that I'll live alone but this man changed it. Isa pa, hindi ako makapaniwala na ang isang assassin na kagaya ko ay may magkakagusto.
"Ah, it's good to be back," si Gov habang nilalanghap ang hangin ng Villa Ignacio. I smiled and stood beside him. Inakbayan naman agad niya ako and kissed my head.
"Yeah, right, it's good to be back."
"Babe."
"Hmm?" Tinangala ko si Gov.
"I love you," he grinned. And with the sun setting in and its light reflects on the sea, he kissed me.
