𝐈 𝐖𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐔𝐏 𝐓𝐎 heavy, aggressive knocks on my door. Who the hell knocks like that?
I raise my head and notice what I fell asleep on, my trigonometry homework.
I never was a genius in math, that's why I find it terribly boring.
As all the knocking goes on, I manage to stand up and actually walk to the door.

"Hey, boss! Mom's not here." I greet Luke as I notice it's him who was knocking so violently.

"Yeah, that's fine it's actually you that I wanted to talk to."

"Really? About what?" I frown noticing how weirdly he's acting.

"Uh...can I come in?" he asks awkwardly taking a few small steps in my direction.

"Oh, sure! Come in!" I hold the door open for him.
I look more closely at him and I notice how he's fidgeting so nervously today, he looks like Susan when she has to pee...

"So...it's a little hard for me to say..." he premises "but I went to have a talk with the Stars Hollow High School's principal today and he said that Jess is not doing very well in school and they might hold him back."

"What? He's so clever, why would they hold him back?"

"I don't know, maybe he doesn't pay attention, or he doesn't put enough effort in...but it doesn't matter. I just wanted to ask you if you could tutor him, possibly tonight" he finally explains himself "I know it's short notice, but I really need to do something, I can't fail him."

"I just— Why me? I mean I'm his age, I'm not that prepared!"

"Well...first of all you're smart, you actually study and open your books voluntarily. Also, I'm pretty sure he's more likely to listen to you than to me or a random tutor."

"Sounds about right..." I admit.

"Yeah, so...what do you say?" he sends a pleading glance in my direction.

"I'll do it, don't worry."
I really didn't wanna study today, but seeing the worry in Luke's eyes made me give in.
Plus, I get to see Jess in a non-working environment...I'm quite worried about tutoring someone, but if it's Jess I can't imagine what could go wrong.
I mean, best case scenario we actually study and have a good time together. Worst case scenario he doesn't want to study anything and we end up watching the Friends episode rerun and eating pizza, we have a good time in that scenario too.

"Thanks, Liv, I really owe you one."

"You mean one spare day without working?"
