Hello, my orchids! How are you guys doing?

We're nearing the end of phase 1 of the book and I have to say, I am really grateful to all those of you who gave this book a chance and got this far.

Although I could not reply to your comments, I made sure to read all of them and fill in any queries you had in the next A/N.

I am just so thankful that I was blessed with such a beautiful reader's community and I enjoyed the writing process a lot more than you enjoyed reading just because of you.

And as much as I hate to say this, I have to put this book on hold right now.

You guys should expect this story to be updated sometime in January next year. So, a two-month break, I guess.

Till then, you can reread or check some of the other books in my reading lists! They're all worth the read.

I'd also like to thank @_HoeForTaekook again for updating every time she needed to. Hopefully, the next time I come online, you won't have to carry that burden anymore. Orchids, please go ahead and follow her for the hard work she's put into making sure this book reaches you!

To finish it off, some fun facts about Ruse!

#1: This book was originally going to be the trio's story from before they got seperated on 22/2/14. But when I plotted out the ending and read The Nerds by @Masquerade16, I decided it would make a much better story if that part was just treated as a backstory to a more complex and sinister plot.

#2: The theme of the original plot was about following your heart and crossing lengths for those you love, learning to find beauty in pain.

#3: The date, 22/2/14 was a last minute change and was inspired by the anniversary of my first conversation with @_HoeForTaekook whom I had first directly contacted on 22/2/22. The chapter where the date is first mentioned, was also coincidentally posted on 22/2/22.

#4: The idea to have everybody in the book some celebrity, was because I really like the idea of Queen Taylor as a badass villain.

#5: The original plot is actually sitting in my Wattpad drafts. It was going to be a long book and Ruse was going to be its sequel to show what happened after they split.

#6:The concept was inspired by the movie I-BOY, and then a lot of other things were inspired by three taekook books on wattpad that deserve all the reads they can get. When I say inspired, I don't mean I got the idea of the plot for them, just when I was writing, I would refer to these books again and again to get myself into the mindset and write a scene the way it deserved to be written. The three books are, @Masquerade16 's The Nerds, @new_name_in_process 's His Photos, and @moonlightandbubbles 's Mad Hatter. Thank you for writing the amazing books that you did.
