~ATHENA POV~

"The world is made of two kinds of people," Silver said as he stood in front of me, watching as my face remained blank. "Leaders and followers. Cobra Kai, like a military unit, needs both to function successfully. So we're going to divide you up into pairs."

"The goal of each pair is to score a point against an opponent who outmatches you. Only strong leadership will allow you to prevail." Sensei Kim said.

"Sensei Kim and Sensei LaRusso will take the girls. Boys, you'll stay here and spar with Sensei Odell."

I made my way with the girls and Aunt Suzanne. I stood off to the side and watched as Tory and Devon fought together. Ultimately, the two failed, though I wasn't very invested in the fight, because I was still angry at Tory for the whole 'Silver paid for your win' thing.

"LaRusso."

I stood up. "Yes, Sensei."

"Ramirez."

"Yes, Sensei."

The brown haired girl who had knocked my knee in stood up next to me. I clenched my jaw as I bowed to her stiffly and then to Sensei Kim. "Fighting Stance."

We took our stance and the girl glanced over at me. "I've got this. Just stay out of the way."

She threw the sloppiest punch I had ever seen, which of course Sensei Kim blocked, and kicked her away. I glanced down at her as she stood back up. "Look's like you've got it."

She gave me a filthy look, and I took my stance. "I'll show how its really done."

I waited to attack Sensei Kim. I know they always pushed us to attack right away, but you have to take your opponent by surprise. I slowly began to circle Sensei Kim, and she followed me.

"Come on, LaRusso, do something!" Ramirez snapped.

I ignored her, completely focusing on my opponent. I lurched forward when I figured I would surprise her, and kicked at her head, successfully hitting her. I kicked again, and she grabbed my foot and pulled me close, but I blocked her punch, and gave her a punch of my own. I jumped back and out of her grip, and then swept her legs from beneath her. She fell to the ground without a sound and I shot the girl a look.

"Very good, Ms LaRusso." She said, and then she knocked my legs out from under me, and then did the same to the Ramirez girl. "But you two were supposed to work together."

I said nothing, and didn't make a sound. I stood up angrily, and took my spot back on the sidelines as Sensei Kim called two other students up.
