losing you

After the whole thing with Anthony, I ended up just driving myself back home. I felt kind of bad for fighting with Moon, especially since she didn't mean to get him in trouble. I just can't help but feel some type of way. I walked into the apartment and like normal, Yaya was watching some true crime on the TV and mom was sitting at the table drinking her coffee. She looked over at me with her usually smile as I took off my shoes an tossed my keys down.

Carmen- hey mija, how was the waterpark? did you get to see your friends?

I shook my head and didn't reply. I walked past her and down the hall, I went right into my room and shut the door. I sighed and allowed my body to fall onto to my bed face first. I laid here for a minute when my phone started going off. I groaned and rolled over onto my back so I could pull my phone out of my pocket. I looked and saw a text from Xander, all it said was 'you free to talk?' I had opened the message to respond, but than my phone went off again and Anthony had texted me 'SOS! I need help talking to Lia, she added me on IG and dm'd me- help!' I shook my head and texted Xander back quickly with a 'just a sec, I need to do something first than I can' before opening Anthony's message. I replied back to him with a 'send screenshot, so I know what she said.' Then I closed out of his messages and opened the one with Xander.

Julia- okay, what's up? read

Xander- I was just going to finish what I was saying earlier, about what was happening with my old friends? read

Julia- ah right. what's up? read

Xander- Uh well they have been still attacking me, but they moved from in person to cyber. read

Julia- what are they saying? read

Xander- Just saying things like 'traitor', 'weak', 'loser' and obviously the f-slur.  read

Julia- wow, seems like a lot of shit. have you told anyone? or tried blocking them? read

Xander is typing...

I had closed out of the messages considering he was typing when Anthony had message back. He sent the screenshot with 'help me!' right after. I chuckled before typing out what he should say, he replied back in seconds, so I was still messaging him when Xander's messages kept popping up. 'yeah, it is. don't know what to do anymore. I did tell a few friends and blocked but that didn't work.' 'Jules?' 'Hello you still there?'. I kept telling myself that I would get back to him in a second, but my brain was so focused on helping Anthony first that I completely forgot. when I was finally done helping Anthony, I had gone to answer Xander when my mom came into the room. 

Carmen- who are you texting? it's late you know

I was confused till I looked at my clock that sat on my dresser and it read 11:15pm. I didn't realize I had been on my phone for that long.

Julia- oh uh Anthony, he was asking for some girl advice.

Carmen- Anthony is Sam's brother, right? didn't know you were friends with him

Julia- yeah and something like that, we only talk when he needs help with something.

Carmen- ah okay, well make sure you write a letter to Robby. it's his first few nights there and I'm sure it's rough for him

Julia- *sighs* I don't know if he really wants to hear from me

As we were talking my phone dinged again, I didn't look down to answer considering I was having a conversation at the moment.

Carmen- it's Robby, I'm sure he is waiting for your letter.

I nodded before I stood up and walked over to my desk. I grabbed a lined sheet of paper before sitting down, I was about to start writing when she spoke again.

Carmen- also please turn off your phone or silence it, the sound is starting to annoy your yaya

Julia- *chuckles* alright will do, goodnight mom

She said 'goodnight' before leaving my room. I had reached over and turned off my ringer leaving my phone face down on my bed before I started to write. While I was doing this; I could hear the buzzing on my mattress but chose to ignore it and continue with what I was doing. The next morning, I woke up in my bed. I must have fallen asleep after writing the letter. I yawned and looked for my phone. I searched for few moments before finding it on the floor. I grabbed it and checked the time, that's when I noticed all the missed messages and calls from Xander. I sat up in a panicked and opened it. I pressed the call button, and it rang once before going to voicemail. Did he really just hang up on me? I sighed and opened our messages before texting him. 

Julia- hey sorry! I was talking with my mom and had to write a letter to Robby, I had my phone on silent! read

Julia- Xander? I'm sorry for not answering! read

Julia- Xander? read

I got annoyed and got out of bed. I complated my discussions before I texted his mom. I had gotten her number when I first went over. I asked her if Xander was home, and she told me he wasn't. Now there's two places he would be, Tory's or the dojo. I didn't feel like seeing Tory, so I opted for the dojo. I quickly changed and brushed my hair before walking to the door. I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my keys. I drove over to the new dojo and walked right in. Everyone there was training. I looked around and saw Xander, he was aggressively punching a punching bag which only made me even more annoyed.

Julia- Xander Zachary Stone!

All eyes were on me by now, even his. He looked at me confused but I could tell he had a hint of anger on his face. I stormed over to him and grabbed him by the ear, keeping a mental note to keep the pressure on his pressure point as I pulled him out of the dojo. I didn't let go till we got outside. 

Xander- what the hell was that for?!

Julia- don't even with that! you were dissing my messages and my calls almost all morning!

Xander- I'm dissing your texts?! you are the one who ignored me all night long when i needed you!

Julia- I was talking to my mom! I didn't even realize you had messaged me again till this morning, Xander!

Xander- bullshit, you didn't forget to write that letter for Robby! but you just so happened to forget to message me back!

Julia- are you serious?! he's in jail, Xander! I forget to message back one time and now you are making it like it's all about Robby!

Xander- because it is! all it's even been about is him! every time we called, texted or even hung out! it's always been about Robby! the last two-three times we hung out, you left me because of a stupid karate war! 

Julia- Xander *cuts off*

Xander- no! the only time you have ever been there for me is when you needed something! we never have once hung out and it just be a 'normal' hang out, it's either Robby pissed you off and you needed comfort or hell he needed you and you left me to be with him!

It was silent for a few moments. Only thing that could be heard was the sound of his heavy breathing. I was waiting for him to blow up more or even just to do anything, but he never did. After a few stressful moments, he turned away from me and walked to the doors. He opened it and looked at me.

Xander- oh and by the way, I'm breaking up with Tory. Wouldn't expect you to care since you know it's not about you.

I didn't get to reply as he walked into the dojo, allowing the door to slam behind him. I was in disbelief with what had just happened. I turned away from the doors and stormed off to my car. Great, I fought with two of my closest friends in only 24 hours. Something is definitely wrong with me.
