over it

In the morning, Yaya was still asleep, and Mom was already off to her shift for work, so I was alone. Miguel was with Johnny doing his usually karate things, so I didn't have to worry about him. I got myself ready and drove over to the correctional center, I wasn't as nervous as I was like last time. At this point, I'm used to it. I got out and grabbed the book that I had picked up the night before than headed inside. I spoke to the officer who already knew who I was here to see so I didn't have to say anything. I followed him back and took my usually seat at the rounded tables waiting for him. He came in and I could already see the bruise that sat under his right eye, I sighed thinking that he better have a good story to explain that. He walked over and sat in front of me, he did have a smile plastered on his face but when he looked at me again that went away. Guessing he noticed the healing bruise that was on my cheek along with the busted lip.

Robby- Is that from your fight?

Julia- Yeah, I got into it with Xander after I left here. We were only arguing but things got heated and he threw the first punch, I only finished it when I kicked him in the back. How did you get yours?

Robby- Fight with another inmate, they used to be friends with Trey and Cruise. It seems even when they aren't around me, they still have ways of terrorizing me.

Julia- Robert, you can't be getting into fights! That can mess with your bargain and stop yourself from getting out of going to State.

Robby- It was self-defense and besides I don't think that's going to happen. I don't need you getting your hopes up and getting disappointed if it doesn't happen.

Julia- I stopped getting disappointed a long time ago, Robby. But anyways, I said I would bring you a book and I did. I grabbed it was from the small store on the strip mall, never heard of it before in my life. If it sucks, It's not my fault.

I grabbed the book that sat next to me and handed it to him, he chuckled as he seemed to skim over the cover before looking at me again.

Julia- You know you are going to miss alot of things again. Like my birthday, Valentine's Day, Christmas, your birthday, 4th of July and even Halloween. Remember the Halloween where we first met? That was eventful

Robby- *chuckles* Yeah, I can't forget that. You nearly killed us in the car and caused a situation to go down

Julia- Don't say it like that! *laughs* It was your fault for not wearing a seatbelt!

Robby- And your fault for taking that sharp turn and for wearing that costume! What was it again? A Laker girl?

Julia- It was Moon's costume! But dropping that topic, do you need anything? Socks, books, toothpaste, anything? I don't know what they allow here.

He stayed silent for a moment; he shifted his eyes from the book that was now rested on the table before looking at me once more. The silence wasn't awkward, it was comfortable oddly enough.

Robby- I don't need much but shampoo would be nice, some good toothpaste, other than that I'm all good on things. Oh, and some more pictures those were something I enjoyed getting

Julia- *smiles* I can get those for you. You can always ask for things Robby. I will get them for you

Robby- I know, I just don't like to. I'm pretty much all set here.

Julia- It's okay not to be 'all set here', you know? I can't say I understand how it feels to be here, but I can only imagine it sucks. You can tell me how you really feel.

Robby- I know, I just don't want all our visitations to be depressing.  I want to enjoy the time we got before I get shipped off to State an all we can do is talk through glass.
