ARC2/ CHP 15: brothers in law

jimin was alone.

not actually alone, he was yet surrounded by the chatter of his friends, yet feeling a crushing sense of solitude, there was no jungkook.

He sat alone in the living room and gazed wistfully at the vacant spot, the couch where Jungkook usually lounged it seemed empty and forlorn, a stark reminder of his absence.

He couldn't help but feel a sense of abandonment and hurt, knowing that Jungkook had left suddenly without even informing him properly.

He had received a text message just an hour before Jungkook left, letting him know that he would be gone for a while. Jimin was confused and a little hurt that he had been informed so late, but he didn't want to jump to conclusions before he knew the full story.

As the morning went on, Jimin started to speak to the others only to find out that none of the hyungs had been informed about Jungkook's sudden departure either. They had no idea where he had gone, how long he would be gone, or even what the business trip was for.

Jimin couldn't help but worry about Jungkook's whereabouts, especially considering the strange things happening lately.

However, as he spoke with the other members, Jimin also realized that Jungkook had taken care of things before he left. He had made sure that his father was safely locked away in the basement and that all the work he had on the company for the following days was fairly distributed among the hyungs.

and even he received a phone early in the morning with only a note with jungkook signature on it.

Despite knowing that jungkook always had reasons for his actions, Jimin still couldn't help but feel a sense of loneliness and worry as he sat in the empty living room. He knew that he would miss Jungkook's presence and he couldn't help but hope that he would return soon, safe and sound.

As the hours ticked by, Jimin lounging around the house, continued to laze about, his bare feet sensing the chill of the floor as he sprawled out in various corners of the house.

jimin couldn't help but feel uneasy with everything that happening, and with jungkook's mother who made it her job to follow him around it wasn't getting any better. Despite his best efforts to avoid her, Jungkook's mother seemed to be everywhere he turned. He knew she wanted to talk with him, but the thought of interacting with her didn't sound that good to him.

It wasn't just because of Jungkook - though he knew his husband's feelings were important to consider. No, it was also because Jimin had never really talked with a woman before, let alone his husband's mother. He had no idea what to say, or how to act.

Although he was aware that his behavior was slightly unpleasant, he couldn't bring himself to communicate with her. He believed it was necessary to wait for Jungkook to reveal his history before he could gather his thoughts and emotions to interact with her.

He pondered about her perception of him, a peculiar man who had wedded his abductor.

It was a bizarre situation, but also oddly fascinating.

Lost in thought, Jimin remained unaware of Noah's approach until the latter cleared his throat, prompting him to look up. He was met with the sight of a smiling Noah.

"Well, it appears you've developed a newfound love for floors," Noah jested.

"It certainly seems that way," Jimin replied, his tone calm.

Noah settled down beside Jimin, his expression now one of curiosity. "Is everything alright, Jimin? You seem a bit off."

With a sigh, Jimin raked a hand through his hair. "I'm just worried about Hyungie."
