It was time to show this world what you were capable of.
All of you left the Savanaclaw dorm and returned to the stadium for the Magical Shift Tournament. Everyone rushed to get changed into their gym uniforms. There wasn't a locker room for girls, so you just got dressed in the storage closet. Once you were suited up and your hair was adjusted or tied back, you joined your team. They were waiting for you in the entry tunnel, eagerly awaiting the signal. When your team was announced, your team would walk out to the center of the coliseum.
"And here's the teams playing first for the exhibition match!" You heard the announcer's booming voice blasting from the speakers.
That was your cue. You took a deep breath. You, Ace, Deuce, Grim, the ghosts, and Savanaclaw's team went onto the field.
As soon as you left the tunnel and walked out, you were met with the rays of the blinding sun and screaming from the stands. The ovations were much louder and non-muffled this time. It seems everyone's eyes were on you.
The crowd was cheering loudly at your combined entrance. To save your ears, you tried your best to tune out the deafening audience. You could hardly believe there were so many people here just to see the tournament. When everyone described it you had been surprised before, but being there in person was a whole different experience.
Surrounding and hanging at the top of the stadium were large screens, which you took notice of. Much to Deuce's dismay, Yuu pointed out the various cameras and television screens. You learned they were shooting the game from all angles. You even saw yourself on some of the screens at one point.
"Let's see if you guys improved since your first game!" The more friendly ghost of the three said to you and Grim.
You and your team took your positions on the field. The formation you decided on was similar to the one the first time you played against Leona. Ace and Deuce were in the front, you and Grim were in the center, and the ghosts were the support.
Ace pointed the end of his magic pen at Savanaclaw's team. "I'll have you pay for what you made me go through before!" He exclaimed with determination. He was speaking to Leona in particular with that line.
Jack seemed satisfied by his declaration. "Good. Come at me with all you've got." He replied confidently.
Deuce apprehensively glanced over to one of the cameras. At this very moment, his face would be broadcast to millions of people, all over the entire world. Just the thought made his skin crawl. "Th-that... Is that camera recording...?" He asked sheepishly as he pointed over at it.
"Just ignore it, Deuce...!" You spoke up. That's what you've been planning to do. This isn't about the audience, but the game. You needed to focus on the game if you wanted to do moderately well.
"R-Right!" He answered back with a nod.
Ruggie was laughing at his reaction. That guy was more concerned about his image than the match? "Shishishi! You're getting worried about the wrong thing!"
"It's time to show the world what I'm capable of!" Grim cheered with determination. Excitement was running through his veins.
"I'm going against you. There's no way it'll be easy." Leona uttered in response.
