Riley's POV

Oh no, I'm late.

Binilisan ko nalang yung ligo. I did not bother to put some make up kasi no need naman. Nag tinted sunscreen nalang ako then lip balm. That's it.

I woke up late because I had a drink last night with my friends to catch up. All of us are 4th-year Psychology students and are currently in our internship. We met up last night to unwind because we're dealing with people who have mental health concerns and illnesses, and it's a bit, no... it's really mentally taxing. But we all like and want what we're doing. Pero need din namin ng outlet, kaya nag walwal kami kagabi.

In my case, I'm handling children with special needs. Some of my friends are in the mental hospital and some are in a corporate setting.

I arrived at exactly 7 AM.  I'm not late.

Pumasok ako ng clinic at wow, ako palang nandito. So I did the normal routine. I cleaned the assessment room, opened the AC and I checked the assessment materials. 

Pumunta din  ako sa consultation room ni Doc Tristan para na rin buksan yung AC pero pag pasok ko, shit.

Nagulat ako kasi may babaeng natutulog sa sofa ni Doc Tristan. I know she's not an intern or staff because if she is, she wouldn't dare to sleep here.

Hindi ko makita yung muka kasi nakataklob yung buhok sa muka niya. At isa pa, amoy alak siya. Oh no...

Huhu bawal ganitong amoy sa clinic lalo na sa room ni Doc.

Wala akong choice kundi gisingin at palayasin si ateng lasing kasi ako mayayari nito.

Habang papalapit ako sa kanya bigla siyang napabalikwas. Ang babaw naman ng tulog nito para sa isang lasing?

Hinawi niya yung buhok sa muka niya and napa singhap ako,

"OH MY GOD A MOMMY." sa isip isip ko.

Ang ganda niya!

"Do I look like a Mom to you?" she said. She just woke up... her morning voice makes me weak. Miss that's illegal po.

Narinig niya?

"Oh! No, sorry Miss. Nagulat lang po ako... Miss sino ka po? Paano ka nakapasok? Saka amoy alak ka... amoy na amoy sa room, pwedeng lumabas ka kasi pagagalitan po ako ni Doc." sunod sunod kong sabi.

"Hey, chill." sana hindi nalang siya nag salita kasi yung boses niya lord... save me.

I'm just standing here, watching her intently while she's fixing herself. Damn, she's so gorgeous. I hereby declare that she's my new crush.

Pero wait... sino ba 'to?

Bumalik yung kaba ko kasi baka dumating na yung mga kasama ko sa clinic at maabutan nila yung amoy alak.

"I'm sorry about the smell... I'll leave now. Thanks for waking me up." she said smiling.

Manahimik ka Miss please lang mapapaluhod ako sa boses mo.

"Uh okay Miss but, may I know kung sin-" I wasn't able to finish my question because she patted me on my head and said,

"See you later." and then she left the room.

Huh? Sino ba siya? Wait... Baka client for assessment? Eh hindi... pano siya nakapasok sa room ni Doc? At paano siya nakapasok sa main door? Ang dami kong iniisip na tanong hindi ko na namalayan na nag sasayang ako ng oras.

"Bakit amoy alak dito?"

Oh shit. Boses ni Doc Tristan.

"Doc hindi po ako! May babae po dito kanina! I swear nag inom po ako kagabi Doc pero hindi dito sa clinic!" dirediretso at tarantang sagot ko.

"Hey Riley relax. You're panicking." mahinahon at natatawang sabi ni Doc.

Well hindi naman nagagalit to si Doc it's just that as an intern here in his clinic, napaka importante na conducive yung environment sa mga children and clients as well as to their parents.

"So, bakit amoy alak dito? Did someo-" napahinto si Doc ng may nakita siyang sigarilyo na kulay black.

Tumingin siya sa akin...

"Doc I swear-"

"Stop panicking Riley, I know it's not you..." nakangiting sabi niya.

Um okay?

"Just open the window Riley then turn on the AC for 5 minutes to remove the scent of alcohol. Lalabas lang ako saglit." sabi ni Doc.

Tumango ako and tumakbo papalapit sa bintana para buksan ito.

"By the way Riley, tell Ms. Tin that we have a meeting later at 2 PM. All of the staff including the interns."

"Copy Doc!" at lumabas na siya ng room.

Muntik na ako dun.
