It's been a week since Ren and Riley reconciled and their friends, still, know nothing about it. They just don't want to tell them yet. Wala lang. Trip lang nila.
Although they have been in a relationship for almost two years in the past, they are still adjusting now that they are back together again. They have been apart for two years and they need to make up for lost time.
And in order to make up for lost time, they make love almost every day.
"Maaaaam Hanaaa kailangan ka daw po nila sa meeting eh." paalala ni Halsey habang humahabol kay Ren na naglalakad sa hallway papuntang elevator.
"Baby wait lang ha? I'll call you back." malambing na sabi ni Ren, kausap niya sa phone si Riley.
Napangiti si Halsey kasi first time niya marinig na gano'n yung boses ni Ren at na curious siya kung sino si "baby."
"I already told them that I'm taking a half day leave. I informed Miss Sky about that." mahinahon pero seryosong sabi ni Ren.
"Eh? Si Miss Sky nga po yung nagpapapunta sa'yo sa meeting." paglilinaw ni Halsey.
Ren rolled her eyes out of annoyance. She understands that they need her input because important matters and concerns are discussed during the Monday meeting, but no one can stop her from leaving.
"Tell them I'm not coming, I'll talk to Sky." Ren firmly said.
"Eh Maaaam kapag ako ginisa 'dun baka bukas awol na ako sige ka." natatakot pero pabiro na sagot ni Halsey.
"Don't worry ak–"
"Ma'am nailaw po yung phone mo!" putol ni Halsey.
"Shit," hindi niya pala naibaba yung tawag. "Babe? Still there? Sorry papunta na ako." mahinahon na sabi ni Ren kahit naiinis siya.
"Okay lang! I can go to the hospital alone, kita nalang tayo sa bahay."
"No I'll go with yo–"
"I said kaya ko diba? Besides sanay na ako pumunta mag isa, don't worry."
"I won't let you go there alone now. Wait for me babe."
"Okay, you'll go with me pero sa sofa ka matutulog. 'Wag kang tatabi sa'kin." seryosong sabi ni Riley.
"H-Ha? B-Bakit?" nagtatakang tanong ni Ren. Nasa loob na siya ng elevator pababa at nakasunod pa rin sa kanya si Halsey.
"Ang kulit mo kasi, unahin mo muna yung meeting mo. I understand."
"Pa hatid ka kaya kay Lily? Marcus? Or Jenna?" pinindot na ni Ren yung floor kung saan yung meeting kaya napangiti at napapalakpak si Halsey.
"Kaya ko nga babe, kulit mo. Regular check up lang naman 'to!"
"Tatawagan ko si Martha para samahan ka." suhestiyon ni Ren. Ayaw niya talaga papuntahin mag isa si Riley.
"Naiinis na ako sayo Ren ha, hindi pa nga nila alam na baby na ulit kita eh." napangiti si Ren pero saglit lang kasi nakatingin sa kanya si Halsey, "Sige na, the bus is here. See you later, love you!" binaba na ni Riley yung tawag bago pa makasagot si Ren.
"Love you too." sagot ni Ren kahit nakababa na yung tawag. Nakangisi sa kanya si Halsey, "What?" seryosong tanong niya.
"Wala po, prayer reveal naman Ma'am Hana, gusto ko na magka jowa eh." pabiro at nakangiting sagot ni Halsey.
