Chapter 1: prologue

When Tsunade opens her eyes, she expects to be greeted by the faces of her loved ones but instead what she sees are kind, green eyes. They aren’t Nawaki’s.
“Oh, Izuku-chan. You’re so perfect, my daughter.”
The woman continues to whisper sweet nothings to her but Tsunade can’t hear it past the sound of crying. It’s loud and annoying. Besides, she doesn’t want to hear what she has to say because if she does— if she does, then she has to accept that she won’t ever see her family.
She will have to accept that she is no longer Senju Tsunade, that she has been reincarnated, and that she is… alone.
The cries become louder and she realizes that it’s coming from herself.
The first few years of her life pass her by through a haze. It reminds her of a particularly cruel genjutsu, but this is no Infinite Tsukuyomi. If it was, then Tsunade would be with her family, not with a random stranger.
Life goes on, but Tsunade stays rooted. She is much like Jiji in that way, stubborn. She is of the forests, of the trees that endure.
Midoriya Izuku is her new name.
She has green eyes and green hair; freckles litter her pale skin, and she, thankfully, remains a female. Small victories, she supposes as she stares at her new appearance. Still, there is a burning fire of hate inside of her that grows each time she lets her mind drift.
