Rex seemed to have a much less fond opinion of that revelation "Give me back my tears you bastard!"

"Why I never! I let you live on my back all your life! Don't I deserve a little leeway?"

"That's hardly the point!"

"Girls, Girls, you're both very pretty." Mio stood in between Rex and Azurda, preventing the inevitable staredown. "But I think we have more important things to worry about?"

"Eh? What do you mean?" Rex asked.

"Well, the fact that we're missing two people for one. And for another, we don't know how far away the next town is. We'll probably have to set up camp for the night."

"Ah yeah! Nia! It completely slipped my mind after Gramps…"

"Ehehehe…"

"Don't sound so proud of yerself."

"In any case, we should go looking for them." Mio suggested, "If these titans are as big as they look we might never see her again if we don't find her soon."

"Ah yeah, good point. Let's get goin'."

When Nia woke up, she hadn't expected to recognize where she was. No… that's not true. A small part of her did expect it. She expected to wake up back on the Monoceros, last night having been nothing but a bad dream. She still had a place to belong, the family she finally thought she found wasn't a group of murderers.

But it was real. She wasn't on the Monoceros. She was in Gormott. It was easy to tell from a glance, no other titan had the same sorts of lush forests her home did. "You here Dromarch?"

"Yes, my lady." The large tiger blade appeared from the woods, a dead Bunnit in its maw. "Apologies for leaving you on the grass. But I thought I'd catch us dinner."

Nia chuckled to herself "You know all those manners hardly suit you with blood staining your face."

"Forgive me my lady… but I've been craving Bunnit for some time now. And Akhos would hardly let us keep it in his fridge."

"Ah yeah. Suppose not. He always was a bit of a control freak. Drove Sever up the wall."

"Well, in all honesty, his eating habits were quite… peculiar to begin with."

Nia let out an exasperated huff as she used a pocket knife to skin the hide off the Bunnit. "Can't believe it. How the hell'd we grow attached to those bastards."

"I was more surprised that you were willing to leave."

"Not really willin'. It was just the adrenaline I think. That and… with everything going on I wasn't thinking things through. I just… didn't want Rex to die and somehow we ended up here."

"Well if I may speak freely my lady. I'm glad you did. They were clearly gunning for Indol… and I'd hate to put you in that position."

"Dromarch… thanks."

"No need for that my lady, as long as you're happy, I'm happy."

Nia set the meat on a stick and stuck it in the ground next to the fire. Then as she started to skin a second Bunnit she took a look around "It's crazy how little's changed here over the years."

"Indeed. It's been… about a year now? Since we last set foot on Gormott."

"Something like that. Seems like that huge Garaffa's still hoggin' up the pond."

"Remember when we tried taking a drink?" Dromarch chuckled, "We ended up getting shocked by the thing."

"Not nearly as bad as when Rotbart got a good look at us. Chased us down for a whole day."
