"I know Gu-dol, it's really sudden but jot it down as my holiday will you"

She felt guilty for putting him in this position - temporary manager. He was never the type that's comfortable being in charge. But sometimes during the circumstances you would have no choice. Nevertheless, seeing that Joo ri was asking him herself, he couldn't decline. He knew that she'd only put him in such a position if something of the utmost importance was occurring.

"Don't worry. I'll look after the salon but are you ok?"

Smacking her lips together she attempted to control her emotions. As much as she yearned for comfort in this stressful situation, it wasn't one to be shared.

"Something urgent came up"

As much as he wanted to know he respectfully stayed silent. If it was something she was happy to share she would've. Gu dol understood that it wasn't his place to pry further as it might be personal. Therefore, he made up his mind to just be there for her by simply following the instructions she gave out.

"Ok, just let me know if you need any help. But I wanted to ask you something"

"What is it?"

"Eliot is asking if he could help out?"

He said with a small smile raising off his lips as he watched his boyfriend whispering beside him.

Even with so much going on right now, just the thought of the two of them together did not prevent the faintest chuckle to leave her lips. Those two are the sweetest couple she ever met.

"He's more than welcome. Just don't let him do any customer's nails as he isn't a professional. I'll treat you both as soon as I return alright?"

"Wow really?!"

At his enthusiastic response she couldn't help but smile. However, it did not last very long. That is because as soon as she said that she realised something.

There isn't a 100% chance that she will come back at all.

All she hopes is that she gets the antidote and Eun tak is safe.

Bidding him goodbye she dropped her hands onto her lap before tilting her head back to the headrest on her seat. Shutting her eyes, all she could think about was how she was doomed.

Slowly she raised her hand and placed it on her neck in the area she got injected. With a gloomy exhale, Joo ri shot her eyes open. And there he was. From the corner of her eye she made out a figure walking right past her car about to exit the parking.

At first Joo ri couldn't make out his features but if she wasn't mistaken, it definitely was number 4. Her guess was confirmed when he spun around to take a look back at the station.

Instantly, Joo ri kicked her door open. The sudden movement in the quiet car park inevitably caught his attention. Furrowing his brows he followed as the familiar looking girl approached him. Screwing his orbs closer, Chenle attempted to point out where he had seen her. It took a few seconds but as their distance narrowed he understood. She looked different under the sunlight. But that was a face he would never forget.

As much as he did not want to accept it back then, Chenle did notice her undeniable beauty under the radiant lights of the club. And when they were in the toilet, the moonlight that shone through the broken window let him take a better look at her. But as of this moment, he was bewitched.

Even if she was a little bit of a mess. Her dark streaks illuminated lighter under the natural sunlight. Still in the attire from last night, her makeup was slightly smudged. Winged eyeliner and eyeshadow streaked across her skin. He could tell that she cried.

However, her orbs did not portray glassy sheets but were fuelled with rage. There was a determination placed across her features.

It was evident that she needed something from him. "What is it?" Chenle coldly spoke out, getting to the point.

Taken aback by his harsh tone, Joo ri staggered. Even though he was a criminal; one that kills, she spontaneously settled on the fact that he wasn't terrible. The only reason being that he did not kill her.

She hadn't observed him back then due to the fear of the gun pointed sharply at her. But now that she was getting a better look, Joo ri noticed that he is beyond intimidating. An icy gaze that held no emotions. She began to fear him.

Catching onto the frustration he was giving off with her lack of response, Joo ri flinched in her stance before answering. The last thing she wants is to piss him off. He was the prize for Eun tak's and her life.

Sadly she couldn't squeak a word. It was as if a barrier was placed preventing her from communicating to him. Hurriedly switching on her phone, Joo ri went onto her notifications to show the photo of Eun tak and a photo of him along with the reminders of what she had to do.

"Release him and bring him to the address I link below. Time limit of 4 days or Eun tak will die."

Head still tilted down towards the phone, Chenle simply lifted his sight towards the girl in front of him. Racking his orbs down her body he let out a sigh and raised his head straight before tucking her phone into his own pocket.

He actually found it a nuisance. It's not difficult to get back by himself. It's not like he doesn't know the way. So why did Winwin want this girl to tag along?

Tucking his arms into his trouser pockets, Chenle began to decipher the way his Boss works and eventually he came to a conclusion as to what his Boss was up to. Sadly, this girl was oblivious to her fate.
