Time of Return

Tears of joy flowed from my eyes as I saw a black dot in the sky coming toward me. I stood at the top of the tower and watched as the small dot grew larger. Within a short moment, a winged horse stood before me, a faithful copy of Feon. He bore the same features with only one difference, a long scar on the front of his body.

I examined it and paused. It matched the spot where I had thrust my sword to pierce Feon's heart.

"Is that you?" I asked, and the horse nodded. I had him back. I hugged him tightly before letting him fly down.

It wasn't all the magic I wanted to try. I made a flock of birds my faithful servants, and sent some of them to Rohan, some to the Dark Forest, and the rest stayed with me.

I found out how he managed to break through the stone wall of Helm's Deep.

Father was one of the Maiar, which meant that although his body was no more, his spirit lived on.

"I hope you can hear this, Father," I began, "and I hope you will be there when Sauron falls."

The birds of Edoras returned, Gondor called for help, and Rohan decided to answer. They were already on their way. It was a good time to catch up.
