Rudy woke up the next morning, his head pounding louder than a drum. Once his vision grew clear, his eyes lock onto Serena, who just waved and smiled at him

"Don't act like we're friends, princess. After all, you are my sister's accomplice." Rudy dryly chuckled

"Believe it or not, I'm helping you." Serena answered

"Thanks, I always wanted to be brainwashed by a narcissist teenage girl." Rudy rolled his eyes

"Crystal was right, you got a mouth on you." Serena placed her bowl of cereal on the counter

"No shit, Sherlock. How else would I would be able to communicate with the most dreadful humans known to man?" Rudy sighed

Crystal stepped out into the living room, unraveling a thing of duct tape

"Well, this is a surprise. The chatterbox is awake." Crystal slammed the duct tape down on the table

"If you're going to keep me in this shit hole, can you at least make me a decent cup of coffee?" Rudy asks

"I gave you your one and only request, that was to see your sister one last time. You want something to drink? Swallow your spit." Crystal spat

"Ease up, Crystal. He's only a child." Serena slung her bag over her shoulder

"Oh my gosh, fine!" Crystal whined, pouring him a cup of coffee before whipping out a knife to cut him loose

Rudy took the coffee from her hands, taking in a huge sip before swishing it around in his mouth. His forehead creases, revealing he didn't like the taste. Looking right into Crystal's eyes, he spits the coffee right in her face, making her even more irritated than before

"I prefer milk and sugar in my coffee, I'm not a barbarian." Rudy wiped his mouth with the back of his hand 

"Forget the plan, I'm going to kill this kid!" Crystal yelled, pulling him out of the chair and slamming him against the wall before pressing the sharp knife against his throat

"Hey, enough! This plan won't work unless the kid is alive. The last thing I need is to deal with a grieving parent, so think this through before you decide to let your anger get the best of you." Serena shoved her away from Rudy, who's eyes welled up with tears

"I just want my sister back." Rudy cried

"Tough shit, kid! She's gone and she's not coming back, so get over it. You'll be seeing me around a lot more often." Crystal shoved him in the chair, tying his hands up and slapping duct tape on his mouth

Crystal looked over at Serena, who looked at the ground to keep her from seeing the tears in her eyes

"Listen, I understand you want revenge, but threatening a child's life is where I have to draw the line." Serena says

"You think you have a say in any of this? Serena, you were a nobody before I came into your life! None of the kids wanted to sit with the girl who's father murdered her mother in cold blood. I made you, I can just as easily tear you apart." Crystal yelled

"Are you threatening me?" Serena asks

"Do you really want to stick around and find out?" Crystal shoved her

"I have to go, I'm going to be late for school." Serena gave Rudy one last look before rushing out the door

Crystal turned to Rudy and ripped the tape off his mouth, chuckling once he began crying

"Face the facts, kid. Nobody cares about us, everyone in this world is out for themselves. You need to learn that you're better off on your own, relying on your family is the biggest mistake of all. As soon as you put your trust in them, they'll turn around and stab you in the back." Crystal nicked him, laughing once blood trickled down his cheek
