The next day, you walked toward the classroom all of the boys had asked to meet you at. You were a little confused as most meetings were held in the club room, but you trusted them and so you headed toward the class.
When you entered, they all smiled at you and Kuroo quickly ushered you to sit down as the others seemed to group around a object. They were being secretive and covering it from being seen by you.
"Are you going to kill me?" You asked flatly. "No," Kuroo laughed. "Just give me a minute." He went over to the others. "Are you guys seriously incapable of lighting a freaking candle?" He whispered at them.
And then Yaku hit the lights and suddenly it was dark except from the few candles that had been lit and were coming toward you atop a cake. As Lev carried it toward you, everyone sung happy birthday while you looked between each of them.
It was a little confusing. After all, you'd never experienced a birthday that was celebrated before so this was all new to you. But there was a certain feeling in your chest, the same feeling you got when the girls talked to you during the training camp. When the cake was placed in front of you, the tears began to fall.
"SHES CRYING!" Yamamoto screamed. "OH MY GOD!" Lev gripped at his hair. "DOES SHE HATE VANILLA! YAKU! YOU SAID SHE LIKES VANILLA!" "SHE DOES!" "THEN WHY IS SHE CRYING?!" They continued to freak out a little but eventually Kenma smacked Yamamoto on the face and Yaku hit Lev in his butt and they both shut them the hell up.
"Y/n?" Yamamoto said softly. "Did...did we upset you?" He badly hoped they hadn't. As you were covering your tearful eyes, you shook your head no. "No one's ever done something like this for me before," you sobbed. The boys weren't quite sure what to say. "Lev, don't cry. This is not your moment." "B-but she's so sweet!" He cried anyway.

Half an hour later, you went to class, belly full of cake and heart full of love. Slowly, very slowly, you were starting to feel all the things you'd only ever see other people experience.
