"Mama! We go see daddy?" Emma asked.

"In a bit. You wanna leave?" Meredith asked

"Hmm.." Emma seemed to think. "A little longwer!" Emma chuckled and ran off, climbing onto the tower to take the slide down but then things went wrong

Emma must have lost her balance on the slide and fell with her head onto the slide, eventually being thrown off the end and ending on her butt in the grass

"Em!" Meredith yelled, wheeling herself on her back wheels to the grass as it was horrible in a wheelchair

But Emma started crying, moving her hand to her head. When she pulled back and saw blood she became hysterical, taking the attention of other people

"Mama's here!" Meredith pushed herself closer and threw herself onto the ground, out of her wheelchair to console her daughter

"Mama-" Emma kept sobbing

"Okay princess, are you dizzy?" Meredith asked, looking for something to apply pressure with to the wound, eventually finding a towel in the backpack attached to her wheelchair

But Emma didn't respond, all she did was crying

"It will all be okay, princess." Meredith tried to assure, lifting Emma onto her lap

"Can I help?" Another mother ran up to them

"I'm not sure. I'll take a look to dee if the wound is deep or not." Meredith said and pulled back the towel. "Can you call an ambulance, please? She needs stitches." Meredith said

"You think it's that severe?" The woman asked, not calling yet

"I'm a surgeon. Yes it needs treatment but she's okay. But I can't drive and put pressure at the same time." Meredith sternly replied while the woman finally started calling. "It's okay, baby. We're going to the hospital. Daddy will be there and uncle Mark will help you out. Okay?" Meredith kept rubbing Emma's back as the girl's crying slowed down

"They will be here soon." The woman hesitatingly said, looking at Meredith's wheelchair

Meredith decided not to comment on it and just wait. Eventually after a while the ambulance arrived, the woman walking up to them and guiding them to Meredith and Emma

"Doctor Grey?" Lucy, one of the paramedics asked

"It's my daughter. She hit her head. It's a nasty cut, I'm pretty sure she needs stitches. She didn't go unconscious and had no nausea. But I want her to get a head CT. Can you ask Dr Sloan to be standby?" Meredith asked. "And Dr Shepherd."

"Daddy-" Emma whimpered in Meredith's arms

"We'll go see daddy." Meredith nods. "Someone needs to apply pressure on the wound, it keeps bleeding and I need to get back in my wheelchair." Meredith said, the other paramedic stared clearly at her legs and her wheelchair

Lucy lifted Emma up, the girl started crying again

"It's okay, monkey. I'll hold you in a minute." Meredith started to drag herself to her wheelchair and was determined to get herself in by herself and as quickly as possible. She usually struggled with ground transfers because of her high level injury but the adrenaline was so high she got in almost right away. She quickly placed her legs the right way and took Emma back on her lap, applying the pressure

The male paramedic reached out for the handles but luckily Lucy could stop him on time

"Doctor Grey, can I push you to the ambulance?" She asked

"Yes please." Meredith nods, hating this but preferring to comfort her daughter

Once they arrived the paramedics were a bit lost of how to handle this

"Lucy, can you lift her onto the stretcher and eventually get my chair in?" Meredith asks and lifts herself in when Lucy takes Emma in her arms.

Meredith was already regretting this but she didn't want them to lift her or take a cab. She got her limp body inside and secured onto the spare seat, strapping herself in while holding onto Emma while Lucy secured her and kept applying pressure. The male guy took the wheelchair into the ambulance and got behind the steering wheel

While they drove home, Meredith quickly called Derek to ask him to meet at the ambulance pit

"Mer?! Emma?!" Derek frowned as the doors opened, not knowing what happened

"Emma Grey Shepherd, head injury. Parent requests a head CT-" Lucy started presenting

"Let's go princess, let's go with me." Mark guided the stretcher out of the ambulance, Meredith stuck there

"Let me-" Derek got in and lifted her in his arms, he got out and placed her into her wheelchair. She fixed her legs quickly

"I'm so sorry, it all went so fast!" Meredith was so worried

"It's okay, let's go see our monkey." Derek said and they made their way over to CT

"Mama!" Emma sobbed as she spotted her mother

"I'm not allowed to go in with our fertility treatment.." Meredith sadly muttered

"I'll go." Derek kissed Meredith's lips and jogged inside

"Daddy-" Emma reached out for his hand

"It's okay, monkey. Mommy and I are so proud because you're so brave!" Derek kissed her hand. "Now you need to lay completely still, okay? Then we can check your head." Derek ordered her, knowing it's scary and loud for such a young girl

"Wow princess. We're so proud of you." Derek tried to ease her while the scans were taken.

"You can get out, sweetie." They heard Mark's voice through the intercom

"Dady-" Emma squirmed towards him

"I'm here, princess." Derek lifted her in his arms.

"Want mama-" She kept crying

Derek quickly carried her out to the hallway where Meredith was waiting for them

"Baby-" Meredith lifted Emma in her arms. The girl's blonde hair was now red from the blood and even Meredith's clothes were stained

"Mama-" Emma sobbed in her mother's arms, looking completely worn out

"Yes monkey. Uncle Mark will stitch you up." Meredith said and kept hugging her daughter

"Hey Emmie. I looked at the pictures of your head and everything is okay, you just have a small concussion so I'll take you to an examination room, there we'll do some small tests and I'll stitch you up, okay?" Mark asked

Emma nodded slowly, still clinging onto Meredith
